It's weird, I've met quite a few tattooers, and never once have I been handcuffed by one to a cell door and been beaten till I shit myself. And then been left to sleep on the floor with no mattress for two weeks. Great comparison though!

I just finished up a guest spot at my favorite shop the Aloha Monkey, and already planned my next trip out there in october. This time I am bringing my wife and kid with me, so it should be even more fun.

I guess my glasses are ugly, and all the people who've bought them after seeing mine, and all the free shit I've gotten from the company who makes them because of all the people buying them after me proves it. I go to the artists I do because they know better than I do and I value their opinion over mine where tattoos and art are concerned.

This tattoo was a bad idea for all involved.

Man, I wish all the people I tattooed valued my opinion over theirs. Trying to politely convince someone that their tattoo is a bad idea when they are dead set on it can be pretty draining...

Then we can agree to disagree. Its a simple case of caveat venditor vs. caveat emptor. Only one way works as BOTH a buyer AND as a seller. Only one way presents a 'win-win' proposition and that is the way I like mine served up. You either have your own best interest in mind or the client's. Anyone I pay good money to better have my best interest in mind...

Otherwise is the way people end up with 'DRAKE' tattooed on their forehead.

That's really neat that the dudes you go to charge 200 dollars an hour and have your best interest in mind. Us "shoeshine" boys don't always get to pick and choose what we get to tattoo.

Chopped is one of my favorite tv shows...I thought this ink masters was pretty much the same format... I just watched it and actually enjoyed it. I've never seen the LA ink or the NY ink, so I can't really compare them, but I think Oliver Peck is hilarious, and I'm watching it just to see him in action. That dude cracks me up, and he's one of my favorite tattooers on top of it.
