  1. oh lol well I am pretty young and never heard it. So techinically what was old is new again ;)
  2. lmao are you sure you heard this or invented this? either way its funny
  3. my mom had a yin-yang on her ankle, and my stepfather had wolves on both biceps. My real dad told me people who get tattooed go to hell but then changed his mind. also my mom's best friend is covered in them.
  4. tough love. she is entitled and bound by your love. let her fall and when she crashes and truly burns, be there to love her and bring her back up, but now clean. my grandma has doen the same thing as you, and now she is stuck with a son who is 52 and she is 71 and he still lives with her, wrecks her shit, treats her like shit, takes her money and her love and has made her life a living hell since he moved back in with her 7 years ago. and her love hasnt helped him get better. be strong
  5. Hey thanks to the people who put up the cirucs lady tattoos... kinda cool! and i can see what you all mean, so at least i am finally getting answers
  6. thanks for the tip. i think i got the directions to frisco mixed up with those. fuck my life. i wish i knew how to drive but i went through high school and no one taught me, starting my 2nd year of college and still dont know. Im in Stockton. :/ not alot of good shops out here. lots look like scratcher stuff. I did find a good guy to do tattoos i just dont know if i want him to do my next one. If I knew how to drive i'd be out in the bay getting tattooed but everyone i know thinks its stupid to travel "cause we have plenty of good people around here". well i cant seem to find them and alot of tattoos i see suck ass
  7. i tried lloking up that amund dietzel flash and nothing really came up. as for spider murphy's, i would totally just go there and pick one off of their flash without looking anything up but everyone in my family thinks im crazy for wanting to catch the train there then the bart. if i knew how to drive it would just be an hour drive!
  8. Ok so to be honest I am like 5'2 but the same weight, maybe 10 pounds lighter... so its so hard to plan out the next tattoos when you immeadiately have to remove alot of areas that you cant tattoo due to being short and very fat. But I do see your guys' points and will consider them. Thanks for the input!
  9. i was on shige's site because I had heard alot about him... I believe I saw a dragon on a woman and it looked good. Personally, I think if you got a dragon it would look great, the thing that decides manliness usually tend to be color, placement, etc... lol if you are that worried about it looking manly, get some flowers, etc with it, and stick to a more feminine color palate. My two cents. Im not a pro or anything Im just giving you what I think on the fly. So if I am wrong, my bad
  10. tattooing stretch marks hurts like a mofo. but i have them everywhere unfortunately so i will have to bite that bullet. - - - Updated - - - speaking of which if you have seen my tattoo you know what i mean, there are tons of raised stretch marks throughout it when it was first done
  11. maybe i see it differently as i have lived a life of being over weight, and gougetheeyes is right when the only tattoos i have ever seen on people of my size have been terrible, and look weird on the especially big parts. maybe its just the scale on which the tattoos are done compared to the size of the area, but i have always been told never to get my arms or legs tattooed because i am too fat
  12. thank you! i wish i could take her there with me when i get it done but she lives 500 mi away
  13. have you googled fat people with tattoos? they are are scratchtastic, and they dont look good. idk i wish i could see a good version of it.
  14. So as some of you may know I am new here. I have one tattoo and plan on getting more. The only thing is, I am very fat. Like really big. And I never see big women be able to pull off tattoos... I even worry that my one tattoo on my shoulder may not look so good because I am a fat person. Which leads me to my question: what do you think about heavy people (like 250+) getting tattooed? Or rather, how do you think it looks on them? Is it different for fat men than fat women? If you are a tattooer, how do you feel about working with obese clients? I have done alot of thinking and searching to see what people think, or feel and havent found much. And I know tattoos are for the individual, not for others, but at the same time we all have a sense of aesthetics and what looks good on a person and what doesn't. We all judge by quality of the work done on a person but on a deeper level we also judge how it suits the person, or if the person looks ridiculous with a certain tattoo. also before I forget, what about tattoo placement on an obese body? Im thinking you'd only be able to work with a few spots. The outer upper arm, the whole lower arm, shoulders, top of the chest, and legs below the knee. No full back, or stomach, or thigh tattoos, or inner arm. (I would love a thigh tattoo however)
  15. Just got off the phone with my grandmother... i asked her if she wouldnt mind me getting a tattoo for her and she really loved the idea (also very flattered despite the fact she doesnt like tattoos all that much). I asked her what she would want me to have that she liked and she said butterfly, or heart, with her name. So now I have the idea for my next tattoo, I have to wait it out until I get the funds. The wait begins... as does my search for the perfect design. :)
  16. i always saw ganesh pictures, and never really understood more than that they looked cool. well back in december my father took me to china town in las vegas and i saw this little ganesh statue. i bought it because it looked cool and on my way home i googled what it meant. I loved the whole lord of wisdom, remover of obstacles, god of prosperity and remover of ego and vanity angle to him. I became fascinated with the whole of hinduism. and even though I liked shiva and rama way more than ganesh, as far as a personal connection was felt, I still loved the symbolism and imagery of ganesh, and i knew that unlike a tattoo of shiva or rama that it would be easier to make look good. but i wasnt sure what i really wanted. i had wanted a tattoo since I was in middle school, like most of the kids i had gone to school with. i had done tons of research into tattoos in general and was thinking of all the stuff I wanted but i was afraid to get a fucked up version of anything. My friend showed me her tattoos done at a local shop so I sent the guy this picture: and asked him to copy it exactly. he said yeah sure come in next week. I go in and he shows me a new drawing, saying he preferred to do something better and asked me my opinion. I loved it from the moment I saw it it was 20x better than what I had planned. Sorry for double posting the same tattoo in two threads though. he did the outline and then asked me, "well, i hate the new school idea of putting pinks and shit into something like this, let me show you a color that would go well with this" and he pulled out the most god awful shade of orange-gold-brown. he said it would look better on my skin that pink and told me to trust him. I told him to go ahead then since it was his job to make those kind of calls. which is how my elephant god went from pink to the beautiful golden color it is. He wanted to do some background in purple but as he reached for the blue ink to make purple ink I told him that the shade of blue he had in his hand was my favorite color. That sealed the deal. Now that I look at my tattoo however, I feel like the flower should be a different color. Idk though if I am going to change it yet. I still really love the whole thing but I think the flower could use a new color

    hey

thanks everybody for the warm welcome... i used the everytattoo site for a while and they were all... well they were fucking jerks. in general, not nessacarily to me
  18. yeah im sorry the pics are blurry, lol i basically have to try to take them with a cellphone by myself trying to angle it to make it fit. i feel retarded trying to angle it
  19. well thank you. :) i do like it, i just found alot of similar or almost exactly the same tattoos on the internet. i'll admit that my fault, i gave the guy who did my tattoo a picture of another ganesh tattoo that was cheesy looking and terrible, but i go into my appointment and he has drawn up the dancing ganesh, im all for it, but then i find the source online (it was a painting of ganesh) and im like cool. but then i saw a few tattoos based off of the same painting... oh well. my fault for not giving him free reign in the first place followed up by him trying to improve my terrible original ganesh that i wanted
  20. well i dont, its just a bit intimidating to show my tattoo, my only tattoo (at the moment) when so many of you have tons and tons of amazing stuff... and this is just from a local shop, no fancy names or style going on with it. lmao makes me feel like a bit of a poser but i joined the site because i spent too many weeks looking at all the stuff on here without being able to comment or anything like that...
