  1. We are free whenever. Busy with friends til the early afternoon, but our evening is totally open. What works for you busy New Yorkers?
  2. Good point that if folks want to come in from New Jersey then Manhattan is probably best. Barn Joo looks amazing!! Do people want to do dinner or just drinks?
  3. This place looks like it might just fit the bill? Guy
  4. Go to the library! Google sucks for this stuff, but our nearby library has a pretty fantastic collection of art books including lots of Japanese print books, etc. It will be a much more productive use of your time than filtering through all the junk on the internet. I know we all forget that libraries exist these days, but it is the best place to look for reference.
  5. PS - Do any of you have suggestions for good places to eat/drink post-tattoo session at Adorned? Requirements include good cocktails and/or beer and food that will soak up the tears.
  6. Good question! The Sunday evening (Nov 23) still works for us if it works for the rest of you! We will be in Park Slope, but happy to meet up wherever is accessible for the most people. We're open, so maybe a local can suggest and place/time/secret password or something? :)
  7. Augh Yoni is the best and that is so gorgeous! I am going to make you pull your pants down to show me in person because I am a creep.
  8. @BrianH - That is always G-Dawg's biggest complaint about healing too. For ONCE it's easier being a lady...
  9. Truth. Most of us treat this space as a community. We have limited patience for people who treat it as a service, and treat us like their employees.
  10. @Fala - Hahaha we rule at peer pressure! We will be happy to oblige! Virginia and Saved are so great and @Graeme and I can vouch for the "couple's tattoo" experience there, as we often bled next to each other at the same time. I think he found this very romantic. (He is weird.)
  11. Well, seeing as how tattoos involve permanently injecting ink into the skin, "dealing with it" is indeed one of the only ways to handle imperfections in one's tattoos. Stop being so fucking rude to people taking time out of their day to explain shit to you.
  12. @flowergirl - I know that it can be hard to convey tone on the internet, so I just wanted to let you know that your responses on this thread come across as really snotty and rude. People are trying to give you good advice about how one deals with these things as both a tattooer and a client. Don't be a jerk about it.
  13. OMG I love those little googly eyes! So great!
  14. If any of you are hoping for walk-ups, our bud Pierre, who co-runs Tattoomania in Montreal and the Montreal tattoo convention and is an incredible tattooer and super lovely human being, apparently had a cancellation that left him with lot of time! See his IG (PierreTM) for details. We (and the rest of the tattoo world) cannot vouch for this dude enough.
  15. So I am one of those weirdos who did their back first, and Stephanie always said to me that the great thing about starting there is that most other things will seem like child's play in comparison. Starting in my arms has been a treat!!
