  1. @IzzyBizzy either keep it covered or use a barrier cream! something with zinc oxide or titanium oxide. badger balm makes a couple of good ones. just make sure it has those ingredients in it and it will be better than the neutrogena i think. but the best thing you can do for a tattoo that is that fresh is to keep it covered.
  2. Wellll next time you're in Seattle or I'm in Norway, we'll figure it out.
  3. I am def a better bmxer than i ever was a skater. I hurt myself more on the bike but worse on a skateboard. lol? hahahaha Looking for another riding buddy in Seattle, if there's anyone out there?
  4. I'm into it!! Let me know what they say and what you need from me. Thanks homie!
  5. @cltattooing WAIT! You have hula babies?!? Are you giving them away? If I were close and you were parting with them, I would grab one in a second!!!
  6. @Graeme ????❤️❤️❤️❤️?????? If that string of emoticons is unreadable, just know I sent a string of googly eyes, hearts, and party horns. It's been a long time since I've been around someone that aggressive who really enjoys upsetting people so much. I've never understood that kind of behavior. I have a friend who one time tried to explain to me the art of the troll and why it was so much fun...and messing with your friends just a tiny bit is a fun and time honored tradition - but rad's trolling takes it to a different level. It's not funny? I dunno. Thx for taking care of it mods!
  7. +1 on this. rad is trolling us all - successfully - I'm over it. - - - Updated - - - Also! Guys! There is a way to "mute" people so you don't see their comments on the forum. I think it involves going to your account page? Not sure but if anyone remembers can point to the relevant thread, would be awesome. I'm on my phone now but will see what I can do when back on a computer.
  8. @Rad Kelham googly eyes at that eddy deutsche sleeve! thx for sharing! I love seeing older work like that. do you have a pic of Guy sleeve as well? @Iwar from here runs @LivedInTattoos on instagram, cool pics of older tattoos.
  9. I think a lot of the users who comment that "this is not going to last" etc are actually commenting on the application of the tattoo, not just the style as a passing fad - just because you "appreciate the details" and "recognize good art" doesn't necessarily mean that the details are good or that the art itself is good. Many people here who don't like the styles you do are making technical comments on how the art will last and how it is applied. Of course, some people just dislike it, and that's okay too, but to say that people just don't look at the details or appreciate good art I think is not the case, based on what I've read on the forum over the past few years. I am also someone who loves traditional and japanese work - it's what I have on my body. I can definitely appreciate other styles, they're just not for me. @Rad Kelham ...dude...so much filip leu respect on here it makes me want to shout what the fucking fuck that you even wrote that!!!! You obviously have a lot of good tattoos and a lot of good tattoo knowledge, even if they aren't my favorite styles or subject matter - but you also assume we have a lot of ignorance about other styles simply because we don't talk about them as much (although if you use the search thread you will see a LOT of talk) or don't like them as much. I will echo @xcom in that I think the board is getting a lot more aggressive lately. (of course i did just make this post because i got so mad at some of the stuff i read, so I am certainly a part of this too).
  10. Daaaammnn son, you did pretty good on that trip to NY, didn't you?! Looks great!
  11. @tacifone break ups suuuuuuck! sorry you're having to go through it right now. finding a hobby to immerse yourself in to keep your hands and mind busy is a great help. A strong support network is a plus, too. Good luck man!
  12. Nice work @cltattooing! Love the rainbow colors!
  13. Ouch ouch ouch! When I next have some cash I'm gonna mosey over to Dark Age and see what's up :). It's only like half a mile away, I don't know why I haven't stopped in yet!
  14. @UglyButProud WHOA. I am eager to see how this plays out. I am sorry that you're going through this though, because damn, after 18 years, that's gotta hurt badly.
  15. lookin good Rad! and yow that is a tender area to get tattooed in. Was that all one sitting? - - - Updated - - - is that on you or by you?! who did it?
  16. I didn't think much of the article when I saw "tattoo gun" but holy balls, did anyone look at the picture of the infection!??! That is some legit TERRIBLE thing to happen someone! Wow. I've always wondered what an infected tattoo would look like - there's always that paranoia when healing large swaths of skin - and now I can for sure say none of mine have ever been anything close to infected. The picture of her infected tattoo (you gotta scroll down to see it) should be on a sticky somewhere to show what happens if you go to a place with shoddy sterilization procedures.
  17. Welcome! Got any tattoo pics?
  18. @vetsquared welcome clint!
  19. That is truth indeed. Cheers to you for that *excellent* write up. Thank you bongsau!
  20. @mmikaoj great write up!! and i empathize with you so much re your headspace - traveling with a fresh tattoo in a difficult place, and then not having any peace or solitude to get your mind to where it needs to be to handle the hours of tattooing! It's crazy man!! And tattoo fever...any session over 4 hours and i get sick. It really sucks. I empathize with your tattoo fever as well. You are a beast. You have a well-earned backpiece, that's for sure. It looks great. Congrats J!

    Fitness!

I started riding bmx last spring and have picked it up again recently. That shit feels like a workout for sure! Arms, core and legs! It is a blast and feels so good! I love it! I'm not currently crossfitting but I always see and feel such immediate results from those workouts...I feel so good from all the riding I've been doing that I think adding crossfit or weight lifting back in would just feel like the best thing in the entire world.
  22. At the end of the day, all your tattoos will look like they belong there. It sort of takes care of itself, coverage wise! Re back piece - really gonna depend on what kind you want (and you already know you wanna go to the thighs!) and the artist you work with. definitely don't stop considering how it will all look in the long run - your thoughts will matter when it comes down to it! - but it will also work itself out in general. IMHO w my own tattoos at least! - - - Updated - - - @knucklehead211 re acne - sometimes i have bad back breakouts too. None of my pieces have been ruined. Actually seems like I have fewer pimples in the areas of coverage.
  23. I just woke up and saw an alert on my phone about the earthquake. My first thought was the Nepal Tattoo Convention, so I'm checking in here to see if anyone's heard anything? I hope everyone is okay. Everyone, not just the tattooers obviously. - - - Updated - - - Via @briangeckleart instagram: "we are all okay! they claim the earthquake was a 7.9! many people were tattooing when it happened..myself included. we vacated the hotel safely, aside from a few injuries..but for the most part, everyone is fine. lots of devastation and not much information else wise. much love!" The hotel the convention is at is apparently extremely well built. Glad to hear reports of people being okay. How scary! Can't imagine tattooing/being tattooed when something like that is happening. Also - earthquake bacteria. Yikes.
  24. Bird bursts! Arrows! Infinity signs!
