  1. So bummed and sad, my 6th annual appointment with Trevor has been cancelled. He will not be attending- medical issue. He is ok, thankfully- and will attend next year- so i will have to wait till then to finish my leg.

    I'll be at that seminar too. Looking forward to it!

    I'm really looking forward to it too! See you there(;

  2. It's not a drawing contest- it's a tattooing contest----- and a visually attractive and commercially marketable contest as well.

    I was talking to my husband after watching the result portion of a few of the episodes, and based on the work shown I felt confident that I could "out tattoo" them so to speak. And he pointed out that I would never get chosen for the show because of a number of factors, the number one being that i'm not relevant in today's market.

    I'm old(er), chubbier and less model like than the participants.

    These factors may fly with a male contestant or judge, but never a female.

    There goes my hundred grand ):

  3. My only deal w him was when I worked in Daytona at Gill Montie's.

    It was during bikeweek and I was alone in the shop - Royboy and his girl came in looking for Gill & while he was there about 5-6 some what menacing bikers came in & Royboy and his girl took off leaving me alone w them. One of the bikers took one of my machines. My only deal w Roy boy

    Ha but I guess equal treatment for equal rights! Would I have expected him to stay if I wasn't a girl? Probably not!

  5. Yeah Deb.....I am doing what I can....and you know that for a fact......ha ha ha!

    I thought I blew it when I didn't get Tony Polito last year BUT I was given a very rare chance to add a tattoo by him and I jumped all over it!

    I should have gotten Steve Delgatto.....but I dropped the ball......it's in the works though!

    I need to make a trip down the VA Beach area to add a little something from Scott Sterling as well!

    And a trip up to Philly in the next few weeks to get something if I can from Jerry "Reds"

    I am gonna be a busy Bunny!

    Deb.....you really need to plan a trip to the East Coast sometime soon.....you know your name is on my list!!! ;)

    Thank you Bunny - I was flattered that Dave added me. I'll certainly let you know if I do plan a trip East--- if I do it will probably be a visit to Jacksonville to Inksmith & Rogers. I'll keep you posted- save a little space (;

  6. Well I'm pretty excited and nervous about a who knows when it will be published - interview for TAM.

    I was really flattered that Dawn Coooke asked to interview me for the magazine and surprised that Crash supported it.

    If you know me, you probably have realized that I' m not too big on self promotion----- but after my initial reaction of surprise---- I thought, why not go with it!

    In preparation, Dawn supplied me with some questions, but prepare as I tried I was not at all at ease come interview time. The interview took place during the State of Grace Show in SF this past October. I don't know what I expected , but I found my self a little at a loss for words ( which rarely occurs) and struggling with not bumbling like an idiot , in front of a sound man and a camera man and Dawn's at ease interview manner.

    Dawn was great though and after what seemed like an eternity, but in actuality was an hour and 1/2 -,2hours--- we finished up with the story of my 30+ year tattoo life.

    Now, if I can not sabotage myself, I just have to supply Crash w a video of me doing a tattoo & then off to print sometime in the near future.

    So, I'm pretty excited and I'll keep you all posted - when it comes out.

    Deb

  7. Awesome thread!!!

    Dave Gibson gave me a list about 7 years ago of tattooers he would suggest I get tattooed by!

    I asked for guys and gals with 40 years in or close to it and I have slowly been chipping away at his list ever since!

    Slowly chipping away?, I think you're hitting it with jackhammer speed!haha----Jk but you do seem to be collecting some fun and terrific tattoos every time I see a post of yours(;

  8. @jgoss1579 I see you came here to make friends tough guy. The family and lineage you just insulted are some of the kindest and important humans to have affected the craft and culture of modern western tattooing.

    Someone please ban this fool. I can't see anything positive happening after this.

    At least B-Tat walked out of his 15 mins quietly...

    Thank you very much Stewart for the kind words ---- Tattooing ,would quite possibly- not have been the same without them.

  9. 104 huh? thats about as many fuck ups as i can see in your tattoos there too journeyman.. I better watch out for big bad tattoers like you man..just because im not a journeyman?? lmao doesnt mean im clueless to machine makers or great artists, just kinda funny ive never heard of you or your tons of generations of wicked ink slingers..so please by all means sir..YOU GO FUCK YOURSELF!!!

    And if you Really knew anything about tattooing you'd know there are only 88 fuck ups. Lol

  10. i guess things are different here in Alaska and that we are sooo out of the loop, but i"ve been here since 2000 and since that time i've only had 2 or 3 requests to do a design on a throat-- and only one face-- lettering on the jaw line. And that's that! We are way behind the times.

  11. I have friends in the business of cosmetology and they trade services as opposed to paying each other. These would be deemed equal. If this person had a service that you valued would you do the sleeve in trade?

    I would trade with any skilled craftsman or equally trained service person. I resent the expectation that I (a journeyman tattooer) would trade for services performed by an apprentice or someone still unskilled or untrained .
