Between this and my Pharaoh's Horses, I couldn't be happier. (No jokes about what's actually between this and the horses, please.)
Awww! C'mon!! You're no fun anymore :p
Seriously, that's fantastic!!

I missed you around here @Brock Varty
(I have to admit, I've been more scarce lately too.)
It's good to see you!!

I crossed 3 things off my bucket list last week :)
Had a great time in Chicago, learned SO MUCH at my national conference, and came home with a dragon on my thigh :)

Thanks guys!!
The whole experience was fantastic :)
Nick was great, the shop was great, the dragon is blowing my mind every time I look at it.
One thing for certain, this thigh tattoo is *way* easier on the day after than calves or knees have been. I can just stand up and walk! ;)
No throbbing at all!
It's great because I'm planning to get out and about in Chicago today, it's my first time here and I can't wait to get out and see some of it

I'd go with David Bruehl, but that's just because he's from the same town as me, and I've seen a bunch of his work in person, more than anything else.
I'm actually in discussions with him for a piece... currently delayed because I'm on a longer contract than normal and it'll be awhile before I can get to Florida.

I'm picturing tattooed people going to pharmacies, swiping a bunch of prep H tubes into a basket and checking out at the register while receiving some odd stares... Excellent.
Oh! You remind me of being young!! Soon enough you won't give a damn about what the checkers think about what you're buying. ;)

You are really young...you have plenty of time to date different people and find the right guy, you don't have to tie yourself down with someone who doesn't share your interests. It's not easy to break off a relationship at any age, even when you know it isn't right, you still have the things you liked about the person to begin with. But I agree, if there's something that you are really interested in like this, and he hates it, it's going to be a problem down the road. If you stop getting them for him, you will have resentment. If you keep getting them and he keeps badgering you to stop, you will both have resentment. Life is hard enough without getting a bunch of flack from the person who is supposed to love you.
nailed it! :)

On the subject of women and aging and tattoos and all of that: My tattoos make me so much hotter. There, I said it. Not ONLY that - I never felt comfortable in my own skin growing up. There was always something wrong every time I looked in the mirror. Part of that was adolescence, part body image weirdness handed down via television and magazines, and part jerky people around me.
Anyway - I feel more comfortable in my adorned skin. This, in turn, helps me project confidence, which is helpful in so many different aspects of life. I will feel like a bad ass (70/80/90) year old when I am covered in tattoos! Also, I look better and better as I get older, soooo...I'm stoked.
Tattoos on older women are hoooottt and awesome and badass. :D
Yes!!
I had to do a thing that scared me earlier this summer... I was totally freaked out about it... nearly chickened out and didn't do it at all.
And then I changed clothes into something that showed "Steve" (my knee tiger).
Steve is so tough, he makes me feel 10x tougher when I can see him. I skated through my scary thing no problem...
Reading this, I think it sounds weird, and people will probably think I'm a nut... whatever.
Rawr!!!
Me and Steve. We've got game ;)

I don't drink but every time Oliver says "jack" or "jacked" @DJDeepFried and I take an imaginary drink. We are pretty well fake sloshed by the end of most episodes. On Project Runway we take a fake shot every time someone mispronounces "aesthetic" which is like 50 times per episode.
This might be my new favorite drinking game.
In Oklahoma there are elaborate drinking games centered around weather reports - tornado season results in frequent intoxication ;)

I'm getting my leg tattooed for the second time in a couple weeks and the last leg tattoo I got developed a staph infection and the healing process was so ,so brutal . Swelling and pain wise - I was limping around like a world war 2 vet with all the whooshing my leg was doing . Tattoo healed like a boss though : ) So people who have experienced infections or ink allergies, would you say that it makes recovery harder / more painful ? As always, thanks.
I've never had a tattoo infected so I don't know how it compares - I get leg whooshing every time though - I'm pretty sure that's a normal part of lower leg tattoos.

I often have a period of time in the immediate aftermath of getting a new tattoo when I question whether it was really what I wanted... so far a little bit of time and, as @deadsp0t suggested, another tattoo and my doubts have been cured every single time.
