  1. Jason's shop Artwork Rebels in Portland, OR literally exploded this morning. A construction company working nearby hit a gas line which resulted in an explosion that leveled the building. Luckily no one was in the shop at the time and there were only a few injuries and no deaths. A GoFundMe page has been set up to help Jason and rest of the crew get back on their feet. Any of you that have met him know he's a great guy. Help him out if you can. https://www.gofundme.com/help-artwork-rebels-tattoo-rebuild-2v2knyk
  2. Still chipping away at the front. Here's the latest on the right thigh. https://www.instagram.com/p/BDjFMyVMVH7/?taken-by=horitomo_stateofgrace
  3. I'll be there again. Maybe this time I can actually meet up with some of you!
  4. The thing to really be upset about here is that dude got his hand and neck blasted before having full sleeves.
  5. @ironchef - Hard to say. Outlining had some brutal spots for sure. Tebori doesn't hurt anymore in my mind, but it can be mentally trying when you lay there for 2 hours and then look in the mirror and think to yourself "that's all we got done today!" One thing I will mention is that I highly recommend wearing headphones when getting tebori done. I found the squishing sound to be unbearable after while.
  6. Chippin' away at the ol' front. https://instagram.com/p/3pzXp1MVGD/
  7. Mine is also an Ed Hardy story. Moved from Boston to S.F. in 2001. I hadn't been tattooed in a while but was starting to get back into it. Ed was still tattooing, but not as often, and he wasn't cheap. I managed to get on his list and got called a while later, just as I had been laid off. So, I politely declined because I thought rent and food was more important. Ugh.
  8. The Crumbsuckers were great back in the day. I never saw Burn, but also never really got into them. They emerged around the time I started my hiatus from the hardcore scene.
  9. @daveborjes I haven't seen them since 89, but he definitely wasn't plugged in then!
  10. Tim sounds like he had a stroke. Vinnie cracks me up. Dude hasn't plugged his guitar in for probably close to 30 years now.
  11. @SeeSea I don't track time very closely on my tattoos but it's probably around 10 hours now. Pro-tip - I'm not sure what part of your body you're getting done, but I strongly suggest wearing headphones. The sound of your skin being repeatedly punctured can make you mental.
  12. The latest pic from my tebori odyssey. https://instagram.com/p/1gWX9JsVE5/?taken-by=horitomo_stateofgrace
  13. @BrianH if they are heavily tattooed and know what a full back piece entails I'll show them all the goods. Otherwise I usually just show the top and listen to all the comments about how they can't believe someone would get their ass tattooed.
  14. Finally finished. Now I'll start working out again. On Monday. I promise.
  15. Pic of me getting worked over by Horitomo if anyone is interested. https://instagram.com/p/zjCmORIcF9/?modal=true
  16. Horitomo posted a pic of the work in progress on my gut. Check it. Instagram
  17. @Pete tattoo freak I've gone to | TattooBeGone SFTattooBeGone SF a few times and have had good results. Do me a favor, if you end up going here could you tell them Greg Paull sent you. They give referral discounts. My buddy has started going to L Plastic Surgery - Charles K. Lee, M.D. - San Francisco, California and seems to like them.
  18. @DeathB4Decaf - Thanks! As for how long I've been working on it, well that's a bit of a loaded question. I started it about 5 years ago, but Jason moved to Portland literally after 2 sessions. So, progress slowed down quite a bit but I'm just about done! @Cork - Thanks! No filter. Just my wife on an iPhone and my fat ass in all it's glory!
  19. @hogg I'm gonna try and make it too. I haven't seen Bl'ast in 25 years...
  20. Get "There are only 10 kinds of people in the world." tattooed on yourself.
