  1. Don't worry, the line work will still be there! [This is a super rad intro thread, welcome to LST @otisc!]
  2. @suburbanxcore What a special treat! Sounds like a rad tattoo experience, what are you getting from Grez? @marley mission Holy fuck, I spent a long time ogling that ROA on Instagram earlier today, so stoked it's on a fellow LST'er! Any chance we can see a picture of it with more of the surrounding tattoos? Looks like it fits real well...
  3. Holy crap @sighthound, I love it. - - - Updated - - - Holy crap @sighthound, I love it.
  4. Rad, I got in for Portland 5/30. Gonna pick something out of the book as well, looking forward to getting there early and flipping through designs!
  5. Honestly, my 2016 tattoo goal was to slow down and plan a little more. I'm by no means running out of room, just not in the best financial state to start going wild. This is just such a cool idea and an opportunity that may not come around again for quite some time (being tattooed by Chad on the road), so I said 'fuck it.' No idea what I want to get, but I'm sure he'll have some great drawings and I just want to be a part of it.
  6. This April, Chad Koeplinger is embarking on a road trip to tattoo in every state. Who's excited about this?! Who's trying to get tattooed? I emailed him awhile ago and hope to snag an appointment in Portland. Check out Chad's Instagram for more info.
  7. No matter the price - you got a solid tattoo, and one that you've put a lot of time and energy into getting. Wear it well!
  8. Welcome. It's hard for me to tell if what you're seeing is technically a blowout or just distortion from the healing tattoo (peeling skin or skin v. scab). Sounds like you're taking good care of it - not everyone re-wraps their tattoos, myself included, and have fine results. Keep doing what you're doing, and give it a few weeks before you get too worried about any little hiccups.

    Hi from Italy

Hello, and welcome. The tattooer will likely have a sketch ready for you once you arrive, and you can sort out any details there before you get tattooed. Remember that not all ideas will necessarily translate into a good tattoo, so your artist may take some liberties in order to give you the best tattoo he/she can. If you have already discussed the concept with the artist, you will probably be fine and end up with a tattoo you both are happy with. Post pictures when it's done - we love pictures!
  10. Do you have any photos of your own tattoos?
  11. Whoa, dragon looking eyes and eyebrows. Fantastic!
  12. @bongsau to the rescue.
  13. Very well put. Thanks for sharing @bongsau!
  14. @marley mission saw that on IG too and couldn't stop staring at it! I'm a real big fan of Robert Ryan's work, but that piece really stands out.
  15. Inexplicably one of my favorite flash designs, and this is a real nice version of it.
  16. Welcome, Ezra. Those tattoos look just fine as is on your arm, I think it might just be time to get some more tattoos around them!
  17. I like it. I've been holding off on telling my parents about my latest tattoos (they know about 4 of the 10 so far) and my plans to continue getting tattooed. It'll happen sooner than later, but those assumptions Maggie talks about are my exact reasons for keeping the secret.
  18. Wow @RoryQ that is a phenomenal tattoo (and delicious looking ramen)! Sounds like a great experience all around.
  19. Welcome, Jason! Got a link to your portfolio?
  20. Those are killer tattoos. Take care of them, but you don't need to baby them after the first month or two, I would just be liberal with the sunblock!
  21. Really cool. I dig that eagle/arrowhead a lot. Welcome!
  22. Check out Corey Crowley and Cheyenne Sawyer at Atlas Tattoo on N Albina. Let the artist design his or her own tattoo for you, but by all means bring in some favorites for reference.
