  1. I EDC a spyderco wannabe made by Byrd Byrd UK Legal Knives: Byrd Tern --- Heinnie Haynes - Knives, Pocket Tools and Accessories and I keep a 3 blade whittling knife in my bag for when I'm bored. P.s for those of you in the UK the rule on knives is you're allowed to carry one sans excuse if its's a non locking folding knife with a blade sub 3" (confirmed by my local police station) the only exception to that rule is if you take it somewhere where there are rules against carrying ANY knives i.e schools, planes, some government buildings. But you won't be charged with carrying an offensive weapon you'll get charged with some sort of breach of peace charge or threatening behaviour. Oh there is a final caveat, If you stab or threaten anyone with it your previously legal knife becomes an offensive weapon (anything can be an offensive weapon in the UK if you use it like that from your J 2o bottle in the bar to a can of deodorant).
  2. Just a fiver one from ebay, word to the wise though: do not use a new blade every time. A double edged razor blade is a lot sharper than a straight and really unforgiving so you really need to steam and lube up your face, and invest in some styptic matches ;p - - - Updated - - - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=251251369770 Theres the exact one
  3. Yea Probably not as big a deal as I think but still ... :p P.s I am black
  4. I love Straight razors I have 3, a restored bone one, an ebony dovo and a non branded one from solingen. Down in Wales there's a few shops that sell them. I've found though that being lazy I don't use them as often as I should so for the most part I shave with a 'shavette' (a straight razor shaped DE) although if I ever need to go to an event I will shave with my straight
  5. This is one thing I'm dreading when I get tatttoos, I work as the trainee accountant in a smallish firm (AKA the bottom bitch) and their very vocal about everything they don't like from black eyes I've had, scars on my hands, when I had to bandage my shin and even when my hair curls from being more than an inch long. But I suppose some sort of under armour type stuff would stop tattoos showing through a white shirt. otherwise I would have to always wear a jumper. Which is what I wear all the way through to May the 15th anyway
  6. Yea I figured that it would just be extra research time, I'm halfway through the water margin atm. As to the bodysuit I've been involved in eastern martial arts since about six and 'Japanese style' tattoos (think bright blue waves and slightly naff samurai) were very popular among a lot of the guys I knew. Then at about 13 my uncle bought me a book on tattoos for Christmas with a bunch of bodysuits in it. I always thought it's better not to do things by half and end up with a half arsed end result so that's why I want it.
  7. No Tattoos as of yet. I've been waiting until I can get one big piece as opposed to a piecemeal approach. Muay Thai is the national sport of Thailand (as you might have guessed) you're allowed to strike with punches, kicks, elbows and knees and a lot of the fighters have hand tattooed tattoos done by Buddhist monks that are meant to protect them from harm. @Graeme will do though he will only tattoo people over 21 so I may have a bit of a wait, hopefully I can get on the waiting list until I hit the limit
  8. Hi I'm Josh, from Wales in the UK. I fight Muay Thai and a lot of the gyms fighters have Sak Yants from Thailand I've decided to buck the trend as I want a Japanese bodysuit tattoo so I'm doing research for it. Hopefully I'll be useful to the Forum. P.s I'm also a trainee accountant so might be able to give a hand in that regard :)
  9. This question is the reason I joined. I gathered a massive pile of reference material and have two books of sketches. Then I decided I wanted Alex Reinke to tattoo me so it's all worthless unless he says no lol:p
