  1. Directly from that article - - "the simple fact that an uncreative person took a creative person’s work, signed their name to it, and passed it off as their own for their personal glorification, monetary benefit and career advancement. There’s no wiggle room there. Even the thieves know that, better than the dullards who are rationalizing and defending them." Absolutely perfect. That article is brilliant.
  2. Wow, you are right, they are identical as far as I can tell. I can't believe a studio with a reputation like The Family Business would employ artists who rip-off other peoples work, especially since Tomas Tomas works in the same city! I wonder what Mo Copolletta would say...

    Hi Guys

Insisting on having a tattoo upside-down is like insisting on having a tattoo spelled wrong - of course the artist will be opinionated on the matter, as it will reflect badly on them as an artist, even if the client is adamant they want it that way.
  4. Giving an artist a really solid idea of what you want is great, but trying to micromanage every detail is a REALLY bad idea, you will probably annoy the hell out of your artist, and lets face it, you are paying someone for their experience as well as for the actual execution of the tattoo, so they probably know much better than you what will work and what will not. Trust them to do what they do best, they may do something that is even better than what you could come up with if you were in charge of every detail.
  5. Thw whole "women have higher pain tolerances than men" thing is total balls - It has been debunked time and time again. Its just an urban myth due to the whole childbirth thing. Google it. What I have mainly found is that there is no correlation between men and women when getting tattooed - It's all about the individual. I have seen some women scream the house down and cry their eyes out for a very small tattoo in an easy area, I have seen some men sit and get their ribs and crotch carved up by a VERY heavy handed artist for eight hours without a single complaint. I have also seen some men who cant sit still for ten minutes at a time due to the pain, and some women who fall asleep because the pain just doesnt affect them in any way whatsoever. Everyone is different!!!
  6. You really shouldn't be getting tattooed at 16.
  7. Its true, there's so many cut-up photos, photos with huge watermarks over them, strange angles, blurred pictures, all to prevent people copying or tracing. Its a big shame, but these people that copy have made it necessary for artists to hide some of their work.
  8. If she wasnt willing to get ger boobs out, she would be a nobody. Horrible personality and slightly above average talent.
  9. I would love to see quality shows like those in tv, rather the garbage that's in there at the moment (City ink/best ink/ink master)
  10. Cant say I have honestly ever learned anything about tattoos from watching TV.
  11. I personally can't stand when people try and crowbar deep and pretentious meanings and symbolism into tattoos, simply because it often compromises the design in the first place. If there's a meaning, keep it simple and obvious! I look at how awesome the tattoo is, and never read the meanings behind it.
  12. Exciting! Who are you going with?? Nevermind, I just saw you on Rubendalls instagram haha, nice one man, respect for going the extra mile for an appointment! I think its awesome he does it like that, it really does weed out the people who are serious from those who arent really bothered.
  13. We didn't ask for a better picture until you quoted your own post asking, again, for people's opinions on it.
  14. Definitely. I moved here from a different tattoo forum, it's miles better in every single way. The fact that rude and insulting people aren't tolerated here means everyone is well behaved and polite on the whole - which is refreshing for the internet!
  15. I'm the same, some areas of my body are just agony, I am starting my back soon, and I think I will need some medication to help me through...I think lower back and upper ass will be awful!
  16. Is there any way you could put up a photo of it? I would love to collect as many imitations of this tattoo as I can! Cheers! By the way, I am always shocked when magazines publish rip-off tattoos - I guess there's no way to tell which is original and which is fake with the amount of photos they get sent...
  17. I had to add this - This is from a Jenny Clarke flash sheet, and is supposed to be a chest panel/half sleeve design, which the artist clearly didn't understand, and copied it, very small, onto a forearm. I don't think I have ever seen a tattoo miss the point as much as this one.
  18. I cant see any comments either, what a JOKE he entered into a tattoo convention competition. Yeah, congrats, you have a cheap copy, here's a prize.
  19. I cant really see anything in it...is there a skull in there? Its not very readable.
  20. Unbelievable. I wonder how many more copies there are out there? I have seen a lot of large hannya mask backpieces recently that take obvious reference from the original, but they change it up, they are completely redrawn and redesigned, they use different elements and ideas. There are people who would say it is wrong to even use someone else's idea (In this case, a large hannya mask), but I disagree, you can always take a concept and try and change and improve it, that's how tattooing grows, artists who just trace aren't helping anything!
  21. We take £20 deposit per hour the customer is booking - so 5 hours would be £100 deposit. £40 minimum deposit however. Non-refundable. 48 hours to rearrange any appointment or they lose the deposit, unless in very specific circumstances where the space can definitely be filled, so the artists time is not wasted. No bookings without a deposit, ever, unless its short notice and a VERY reliable, long term customer. Deposit comes off the final price of the tattoo.
