  1. Booked in with Alix Ge to get a shishi lion and peonies on my thigh at the London Convention. Getting quite excited now but also a bit anxious. In a way not too keen to get this done at a convention but it does make things easier (and cheaper) as it saves me a trip to France.

Fantastic choice of artist, she's one of the very best around right now!

  2. I remember my dad telling me that when in the navy (Korean War) the guys would find out you had a fresh tattoo they would hit or slap it. Combine that with no real after care and I have to feel for those guys back then.

My boss did that to me the morning after I got my whole sternum tattooed. Gave me a massive heavy hand slap right on it. Pain was silly nasty. I suppose that's the price you pay when your boss tattoos you for free haha!

  3. My friend is selling his UK dateless license plate - T19TTO - (I do not know if the last character is the letter O or the number zero, sorry) If you are interested please send me a message and I will give you the owners direct contact information, he can tell you everything you need to know! Picture included as an example, this was customised for him and his tattoo studio.

  4. It sounds harsh, but no contact, at all. If you talk to her, and message, and see what she's up to on social media constantly, it will make everything that much harder. Focus on yourself, try and forget about what she is doing as much as you can, it won't be quick but it's the best way I know to get on with your life. If she really wanted to be with you she would not have broken up with you, or asked for a break.

  5. Got a couple of weeks break from my big back sessions, so with the time off I am getting my kneecaps hammered by Danny Rossiter at Rain City tattoo studio in Manchester. Pray for me. I'll upload some progress pictures next week, getting some pretty big pieces so it wont be done in one session!

  6. Filip Leu took a full year off tattooing once, he spent his time playing guitar, painting, getting very very high, then came back to tattooing full force, probably better than ever! It's good to take a break from everything now and again, even if you are in very high demand and have a lot of customers demanding your time...

  7. Hi there, welcome! Nice to have you, I hope you enjoy the forums! No idea what's up with your tattoo, I suggest speaking to your tattoo artist or your doctor or a skin care specialist!

  8. Yeah, definitely keep trying, I imagine if you did turn up there is no way they would be annoyed - They would probably apologise for missing your emails, they might ask you to resend them, and they should make them a priority to respond to. Good luck, I look forward to seeing your monmon cattoo posted here someday!

  9. That's crazy, you had the opposite experience of me! When I emailed about an appointment with Horitomo, Molly replied in 20 minutes, and within the hour I had the deposit down, time, date and reference all sorted. For an overseas convention appointment. I'm sure I was just lucky with the timing, but seriously, the guys at State Of Grace are the most down to earth, laid back people, there is no elitism, you don't have to belong to some kind of club or know the right people to get an appointment, I think you just need a bit of patience, I know they have been travelling a lot recently, keep trying, hopefully they will get back to you soon!
