  1. Good times. Welcome to the forums. Please feel free to share pictures of your tattoos.
  2. Done by Curt Baer while he was guesting at Dark Age Tattoo in Seattle. He is a big man with a sexy beard. Sorry for the shiny pic!
  3. Curt Baer is guesting up in Seattle this week. Question: calling out early on Tuesday so I can get a panther from him. Good idea? Best idea?
  4. Yeah! It's only 50 minutes away, and I'd like to check out California electric on the way :)
  5. Heya, I'll be in the Monterey, CA area for a couple of days. Does anyone have suggestions for shops to visit? Yar!
  6. Welcome to the forums. Please post pictures of your tattoos!
  7. That's awesome @Vinn ! A good chunk of my work so far has been done at the House of Tattoo off of 6th in Tacoma. I'll have to make a point to stop by Tsunami here soon to check out the shop :)
  8. That is one hell of a powerful piece dude, congratulations! Sorry if I missed it from one of your other posts, but who is the artist?
  9. http://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/forum/general-tattoo-discussion/5624-mid-year-assessments-page9.html Read that page. Particularly post 89. There are insights to be had perhaps. I've had a few conversations with a tattooer friend about focusing on one style. His challenge is that he would like to focus more on black and grey, but a lot of the customers through the door ask for color in various styles, which he is happy to do. Being flexible may mean that he won't be able to specialize any time soon, but he is a well rounded tattooer who doesn't have trouble feeding his kids or making the customer happy. Another case in point. I took my plain skinned sister to an expo yesterday. We didn't have anything booked, but Eddie from classic tattoo had some time available. I've seen his work before and it was all quality art that I would be stoked to wear. He took a look at extremely simple monkey outline that she showed him, and without batting an eye said that he would be happy to do that for her. He made her first tattoo a great experience, and I'm sure as hell going to look him up for some work in the future because of his professionalism and humble attitude. Just my .02 bud. My apologies for the late night rant. Peace!
  10. Hah, she did well. He was a super nice guy and they were bullshitting every time I passed by.
  11. Had a good time at the expo :). Got a high five from Aaron Bell, chatted up Jaymie Goodwin about a piece, and my sister got her first tattoo from Eddie Zavala from Classic Tattoo.
  12. Now would be an excellent time to pick up a consuming hobby to distract you from the tattoo. Ultimate fighting, competitive crocheting, you and your 3 year old dressing up like master-blaster from thunder dome to terrorize the neighborhood.
  13. @markbee that's righteous dude. It's always great to make the doctors scratch their heads. Let her know that there are better ways to get her family to visit, sheesh. Thanks for the support also. I had a different family member make an attempt last year, and this is just a reminder to be there for her, and to cherish life along with the people in it. Cheers
  14. Welcome to the forums and congratulation on your marriage.
  15. Hello, Is It Me You're Looking For?: http://youtu.be/gXuWoEYCz8A
  16. Thanks, we were supposed to see her and her 2 year old son on Sunday for our trip to the pumpkin patch. Apparently she was dealing with a deep depression and decided to end things. Luckily the boy was with his dad. Edit: been doing emotional triage with my wife and kids while they try to wrap their heads around the whole thing. It's a tough thing to explain to kids who are so care free how someone could be so sad and lost that they would not want to be alive.
  17. Greetings, the family and I are headed up to visit vancouver and victoria in a couple of weeks. Beautiful country up there!
