  1. how big of a piece is it? i hope i experience little swelling as well.
  2. thanks for the input, else. I took your toughts into great consideration. Luckily I was able to switch a day with a coworker so I can have a day off after my session.
  3. thanks bigjoe! i actually have an appointment at torch tattoo next week. I can't wait!
  4. I'm new here, and pretty much joined after reading every post in this thread (and you guys scared the heck out of me). I have been tattooed on my arms and chest, and the healing process was very easy., I have decided I want to get leg work done. that's how i got here, and read all the stories of long durations of swelling and pain (yikes). I have an appointment next week for my first piece on my shin right under my knee. I work the next day after I get the tattoo, a 12 hour shift where I'm on my feet for at least 10 hours and I have to be very mobile. Will it be possible for me to stand and walk that long? Is it best to reschedule and try to do it on a time when I have more days off from work?
  5. Hi everyone, I'm brand spanking new here, and have been lurking for only about a week. Though I'm not that new to getting tattooed. I have work done on both arms and on my chest. I plan on getting a lot of American traditional work on my lower left leg, and am starting with my first piece next week. I joined this forum to get some tattoo ideas, and hear stories from other members. If you have any suggestions on great traditional artists in my area, let me know. Thanks!
