  1. @ian he won't be coming this year , he and I spoke a week or two ago and he let me know, he's got some good family stuff to take care of so yeah he won't be there. Well now the wifey and I got a good reason to make it out to Adelaide this year. I'm not too worried though I enjoy the process of getting work and the stages to finish it .I have plenty of other work I'll be getting and finishing up so I don't stress time
  2. Got some new small stuff from Matt (Dr. Claw) at Diamond Club. First knuckle piece and inside finger. Very small and simple. Its for my wife and my anniversary. Oh and inside the finger was rough apparently you have to break through the pad. And you definitely know when you break through. Having done a very small piece inside, puts my palm, tattoos on hold for a while. Gonna have to prepare for those

  3. Howdy all very excited here. Gonna be getting a lot of woek done around the bay area convention. First off I'll be continuing with Matt Deverson on my left lower leg hopefully we will get nice and far doubt we will finish though. My wife will be finishing her arm with him also then I'll be doing a chest plate with Ichi Hatano think I'll be doing a severed head. Then I'll be set to go with Miyazo to do some right leg action and to round it all out my wife will be starting her back piece with Tomo. Goona be an expensive month but we'll worth it. So rarely do you get so many good artists in one place at one time you gotta take advantage.

Looks like the rest of y'all are getting some nice work out there

  4. Very nice @hogg, thats an awesome gap filler, and thank you, I can see you are quite the collector yourself, Compliments from those who understand the value of tradition and legacy in tattooing are the best. You should try to get yourself into Diamond Club. Its my favorite place to get work done, Best atmosphere ever. And of coarse seeing Bill Junii and the gang is always a blast.

  5. @beez I thought Matt Deverson did an incredible job of place my snake skull chrysanthemum on my leg. I really really liked that about him though, it was one of the reasons I chose him to do my more visible part of my leg, He seems to have a natural eye for placement. And yes the Geisha Spider is gonna be dope, Ive given Matt (Dr. Claw full artistic liberty, so I know it'll be bad ass. Your quite the beast getting that much work done in such a short span of time. I don't think I could handle that. After a long sitting I need a week of break to gather myself back up. As goes pain referral leg are very strange. Ive got most of my butt done and god damn it sucked, One of the worst Ive done yet. @Eilin that is a wonderful piece, Not my style but solid work. It always amazes my when somebody can transcend a style with the quality of their work

Heres a pic of Matt (Dr Claws) work so far

  6. No shit @beez it's a small world. Butt snake all the way, I also really enjoyed watching Junii work on your leg. My wife has a big peony piece on her side by Junii and if all goes well might be her apprentice soon. I consider myself very lucky to be getting a sleeve from a living legend like Bill Salmon. And Bill and have built a friendship over the last few years so it makes it that much more meaningful. Matt aka Dr claw will be finishing my thighs piece and start into my inner leg with I think a big geisha spider. Its goona be rad. Looking forward to see in ya at the convention @beez. I'll be doing another few sessions on my leg woth Matt Deverson, if you haven't seen his work check it out and hopefully I'll be getting my chest done by Myazo. What's your plans

  7. got an Appt for SFO now for plane ticket..

I will be solo just a backpack may go check out Blackeart and temple on friday. Loving idea of just getting a walkup with one of the great artists attending also.

That's great your coming up for the convention though you might wanna get ahold of an artist your interested in before the convention. I know the big boys like Shige and Gogue are booked and most the other artist are filling up their spot already. I already put a deposit down for my time with Matt Deverson last week. And I know his time is almost booked out. Good luck and hope you get the work your lookin for at the convention.

  8. Cork, I wasn't referencing your worth or that i have a place to determine worth, but it does occur to me that its a shame that something only true men used to get (horiyoshi3 reference) its now available to everyone via pill form. Id like to be idealist and believe we live in a world that rewards sacrifice. Not making a trip to the pharmacy. To each their own. Yes!! It's just kinda a bummer that somebody can look like they have made the sacrifice when in reality they just spent their afternoon fucked up on pills. If any of us that have gone through the experience sober can do it ,Im sure you can too. Might even convince you going the hard way is better for the soul

  9. Fuckin A. The anxiety is going to kill me way more than any needle point pain. I've decided to nut up for the first glute/ham session and not take any painkillers. I watched that Horiyoshi 3 video where he said that men get full body suits to prove that they are men and they can take the pain. This is the mindset I'm going in with. We'll see if it changes, haha.

Wow I didn't realize painkillers were an option. I've always thought if you can't get through it on your own you don't deserve to have it. But I'm old school like that

  10. I love Diamond Club. Junii has been working on a side/back/body (it just keeps getting bigger!) piece on me since this past Nov. Such a great place to be tattooed! Everyone is awesome there! And Matt is super talented, it's great to see his name pop up here. :)

Yeah I really like Matt's (Dr Claw's) work he's got a very neat style and I love his hannya masks. Diamond club is one of my favorite studios to go to, great atmosphere and I love getting to talk to Bill and Juni they are so friendly and knowledgeable. Its really nice to see Diamond club come up

  11. Welcome dude, where you getting tattooed?

My back and right arm sleeve is done by Kevin Marr at Godspeed my black and gray by Dave Bobrick at One Shot tattoo and the hannya snake piece on my thigh is by Matt ( Dr Claw) out of Diamond club ill be finishing up the hannya and adding flowers to the inside for fill. In October I've got time scheduled with Matt Deverson to sleeve my left leg.

  12. My backpiece experience is scheduled to begin in February 2015. :D

Lucky to just be at the beginning, Thats always my favorite part of a large piece. And lucky to have Mr. Rubendall work on you. When I started my back I found it to be very discontenting that i wasn't able to watch. So I didn't know exactly when the needle would hit and id spasm a lot. But the pain was minimal compared to other spots
