  1. Greetings all,

Its not constructive to just tell someone to go off and die. Thats just childish.

    Dr. Brady @ I EAT DICK Tattoo Workshop - (667) 867 - 5309

    2483 Maner Road Se

    Smyrna, GA 30080

I eat dick Tattoo Workshop | Tattoo Workshop | Tattoo School

Now you can't use commas??? LMAO

I doubt you have talked to any real tattooers because all of them would have told you to go fucking die! ;)

Do you also tell your students that no one will hire them? And that you are preparing them for a field that is already over saturated with good solid tattooers......not to mention the crappy ones like you have instructing them?

    LOL......this is a joke!

    Please fucking die.

    Best post of the year!!!

  2. This will help there apprentices who will have a stronger knowledge base to pull from.

I hope one of your two week students doesn't make the same mistake and put "there" on someone instead of "their"

    LOL

I remember when I started tae kwon do my sabumnim said to us...... "In the first two weeks I can teach you some basic techniques to defend yourself and just enough to get you in trouble......BUT.....I can't teach you the discipline.....that takes much more time!"

Again.....why is this still posted up?

  3. Okay....you seem to be getting good tattoos by solid artists........

    BUT.......slow down!!!

I know.... "You won't give a shit what they look like when you are 50".....at least that's what I hear all the time.......but I promise you when you are 40 you will care! ;)

I just am trying to pass some important advice on to you and like a lot you probably aren't going to listen BUT tattoos do age and if you take care of them and yourself then they age well!

    Just be smart please???

You are lucky.....most young ladies your age don't start off getting quality work!

You're heading in the right direction......just slow down.....and be smart babe!

    Welcome to the forum!

  4. Welcome! Maybe @Bunny Switchblade has some Mike Perfetto tattoos?

I do indeed......he is closed on Fridays and Sundays......get there early and get your name on the list....he does first come first served!

If you find yourself higher on the list you can always walk a few blocks and get some Brooklyn pizza! :)

    - - - Updated - - -

Mike Perfetto, Tony Polito, Ronnie Dellaquila, Pete Giacinto(sp), Riche Fie... then head to NJ and hit up Mike Schweigert

I have pieces from all of these gentlemen......and they are the nicest group of guys around!

    It's.....Giaquinto

I would add Richie Montgomery and Steve Delgatto to this list as well!

I would call to make sure they will be tattooing the days you will be looking to get tattooed!

    - - - Updated - - -

I didn't realize Tony Polito was still tattooing here. That's great, I'll totally get a piece from him!

Contact Rich Fie to find out for sure.....tony has been tattooing on saturdays off and on but I think people are contacting him ahead of time to get tattooed and to make sure he is going to be there!

Get something from every one of the crew at Smith Street......and @daveborjes is being humble....you should get something from him too!

  5. It has been a big debate as to actually who owns the "art" after it is tattooed on a customer!

It is also a debate as to whether a tattoo is indeed covered under the US copyrighting system unless a physical finished piece of art was done!

And if you don't register you piece of art with the US Copyright Office.....you can only receive the profits someone makes from your work! Spend several thousand dollars to recover whatever profit the guy made from the tattoo!

It's a battle most would never do because other than principle.....you just loose money!

  6. @LadyGabe

Don't walk in and ask for an apprenticeship........ask them to look at your art work and see if they can give you advice! Ask if they have a night where they get together and draw and if so if you can come draw with them so you can get better.......ask them if they need some help cleaning up around the shop or if you can maybe hang out when you have free time!

    These are just suggestions.....

It is my personal opinion that a person should be offered and apprenticeship......not really need to ask for it!

  7. 1.) Why do people want things right away anymore???

    Hubby says it's McDonalds fault!

You used to go in and sit down and have a meal.....even if it wasn't with the family.....you would sit at the counter and order your food while they cooked it in front of you and that took a little bit of time! Most people would eat there at the counter as well and still do in a lot of towns!

But do you see the way people act if they go to McDonalds drive thru and their food isn't ready in less that the two minutes they drive around to get it??? It's like the world is coming to an end because their food isn't there so they can just drive right away! LOL

2.) My hubby is a printer (printing presses and such) and in that industry the "designers" always "owned" the right to the work the produced! The "hard copy" was theirs......the fee you were paying was for them to do the design work (ie....the illistration or typesetting) but they actually owned the rights to their work!

If you wanted an actual logo designed the price was always a lot more.....so you actually owned the right to your logo! Then you would pay them to do the typesetting and such!

Likewise....the negatives and plates belonged to the printer!

You were paying for the process to make them....not the physical items themselves!

Interesting fact.....Ernie Carafa had his own negatives and plates made when he printed all the Guideline flash so that he "owned" everything!!!

No one could ever reproduce those sheets without Ernie having a hand in it or being able to take them to court for reproducing it! Smart!!!

I think that this is the argument with artists now.....they own the right to their original art and you are just paying the "fee" to have it applied to you!

My personal feeling is.....once YOU post something online or YOU allow someone else to post it.....it is going to become "flash!" You may not have intended it to be......you may not want it to be used.....but it's going to happen even if it is just used as reference and changed slightly!

Right or wrong.....it's going to happen!

  8. I have all different styles all mixed together on all different body parts!

Where ever something fit from a specific artist or where ever they wanted to place it is where it got tattooed on me! there are plenty of things you can do to fill in and tie it all together!

I personally like how my coverage has evolved over the years and with so many tattoos on me I have people crawling around on the floor half of the time trying to see all of them! It's not like you look at it and see one big scene or piece......it's like people look at it and see something new they didn't notice the last time they saw me! People who look at me all the time are always pointing to a tattoo I have had 10 years and asking if it is a new tattoo even though they had to have seen it before!

    That's my take on this....

  9. The machine I use that was put together by Tony Polito and Richie Montgomery has no cap and the one Tony used on me a week and a half ago had no cap!

I am going to be replacing a front spring soon on mine though.......those who know will understand.....and those who don't "get why" don't need to know!

Machine runs like a dream and is one of my two main shaders I use!

  10. Fuck I love that BTC tattoo. I'm saving a little place, just behind my ear for one of them. Ideally I'de love to have Jimmy Skuse do this for me...we'll see how we go with the planned travel to Bristol to make this happen.

    Very, super fuckin' cool.

I was definitely honored to get the BTC tattoo......and to have the Old Calcutta tattoo by Tony P. pretty much made it all complete! :)

  11. Yes.....I know this is probably not the proper place to put this so please forgive me!

I just wanted any of the NYC people to see this and figured this was probably the most visible forum.....so again I appologize!

I am leaving the tattoo shop tonight and heading up to NJ outside the city to stay the night and then heading into Brooklyn tomorrow morning to hang out with Tony Polito and Marvin Moskowitz at Old Calcutta.....so if any of the NYC/NJ/CT people would like to stop on in then it would be awesome to meet you all!

I know it's severely short notice BUT I wanted to make sure it was 100% before I said anything!

Anyway....stop on in tomorrow if you are close by!

    Thanks,

    Bunny

  12. I hope Les Scuse tattoos is still around. I've been trying to contact them about joining the Bristol Tattoo Club. Phone says wrong number; no email responses. And tomorrow is the day I drive through Bristol. :)

    Hit Jimmie up on Facebook.....

    https://www.facebook.com/jimmie.skuse

If you miss seeing or hearing from Jimmie while you are there then hit up Dana Brunson when you get back to the states....he'll sign you up for the BTC!

    https://www.facebook.com/tattoodesignsbydana

Feel free to mention my name to either of the two....

  13. You mean you won't be joining everyone on the yacht @Bunny Switchblade ?

Nope....not at all....LOL.....I never would have even when I did "modeling" it was always just for fun.....just for myself.....never to gain anything from being tattooed!

I did a couple of those photo sessions at the conventions and I did let Mary D'aloisio photograph me to document my "collection" ..... I allowed her to use those photos in that article in the first edition Tattoo Culture Mag.

I've turned down offers to be on a show about tattoo "collectors" and about 8 months ago was asked about a show they were trying to put together about tattoo apprenticeships!

    Not my thing......
