  1. My earlier reply got attached to the wrong post. Take 2:

Thanks, it turned out pretty cool. Her nose is a little long and the foot looks a bit wonky (Japanese style?).

I'll get a photo of the right side to show how he used negative space between this and ol' Tigger (you can see his ear at the upper right).

my birthday is on october 13th(I was born on a Tuesday)but I have been thinking lately I should get a 13 tattoo of some kind, maybe a "Lucky 13",etc,etc not sure right now.

  2. How about Saturday the 14th? :p (that was a cheesy farce movie, right?)

Since I can never open the "Latest tattoo lowdown" thread on any PC or with any browser (IE, Firefox, Chrome) I'll have to post my Saturday tattoo here.

Bomber nose art pinups have always been really cool looking to me. I had Waylon Hart create one for me and he did even more than I expected with her Japanese leg sleeve, plus the clouds and lightning.

One day old between changing the wrapping. Her skin colors will soften after healing.

pretty cool ! I love it,placement is perfect too.

  3. OK, not a movie but a TV series, "Blindspot". I haven't watched it but might later if it isn't just another cop show.

    Anyone here like/dislike it?

I've been watching it and like it,kinda cool cop show,

the only thing I don't like is her tattoos are not done very well IMO,

they look more like stencil color to me,and they are not exactly the same in every scene & show, the ones on her neck show a lot,I know it's probably difficult to get them the same every show, but the color is off to me,the color doesn't look real IMO

  4. And the last two adopted dogs in our pack are LuLu and Andy, which are extremes within the chihuahua breed. I've never liked chihuahuas and still don't in general, but these two are extremely sweet and share none of the aggressiveness some possess.

LuLu is a teacup sized chihuahua that wasn't wanted by it's new owner so we took her in 3 years ago. She is playful and very affectionate.

    Sleeping with Sasha kitteh.

cool ! quite the entourage you have there, all very cute,

    and thank you for rescuing.

  5. HULA BUG!

She's looking far better than the last time I posted pictures. A lot of her yellow has come in and it appears as though she is a Super-Hypo. Short for super hypomelanistic leopard gecko, meaning that she has none of the spots that standard leos have, save for the tail and a few on the head/face. I'm thinking she also might be a carrot-tail (30% orange tail), cause with each shed a little more orange shows up.

Basically she is an adorable tiny dinosaur. :o

  6. I have always liked "showing off" my tattoos and wear shorts & t's as much as I can(which is most the time),I embrace and welcome the stares and attention and questions,

I have never been a tank top guy,but now that I have finished my arm sleeves up to my shoulder caps this summer,

I have purchased several tank tops and try and wear them as much as possible when ever I go out in public,

I also always wore crew socks, but since getting my legs done down to both ankles, now I wear the short ankle socks LOL,that is when I wear shoes,99% of the time here in nor cal I wear shorts & sandals though.

I am able to wear shorts and golf shirts at work too.

  7. I apparently have been lucky after reading this thread,

I have many tattoos from my knees to my ankles and have always healed fast with no extra swelling or pain on my legs,

the only issue I have had on my legs were my ankle bands,I had bad involuntary legs jerks while getting the tattoos.

with the mild weather we have here in northern cal, shorts and sandals have made it more comfortable to heal as well ,

also the use of saniderm on my tattoos that have no color in them is a real plus too.(I have found that Saniderm does not work good on color tattoos,on B&G it works great !)

  8. Hello,

I have discovered this forum few days ago and since then I have read quite a lot of topics and I'm amazed by the friendliness of people here.

I decided to register to be able to add my opinions (occasionally) and ask questions (more likely).

I'm a female, after 30, from the middle of Europe, not native English speaker, please forgive my mistakes.

I got my first tattoo 7 years back, tribal phoenix and I had it improved/partly covered last Friday. There will be one more session after two months, when we can see how it heals and how the colours settle.

I had two more tattoo sessions this year, watercolour sparrow on my inner forearm and small text on the inner ankle.

I plan a tattoo of owl for the next year to add to my sparrow. And I don't think it will be the last one :D

    This is my sparrow :)

    that's a really nice tattoo,I like it. :)

  9. Long before pinterest and instagram, we went to libraries, museums, flipped through art magazines. Hell I found a reference for my dragonfly tattoo from a magnet on my mom's fridge. I've found inspiration from old church stainglass, science/biology text book illustrations, art books from asian bookstores, logos, paintings, album covers, etc etc. Used bookstores are great. There is so much in this world that can inspire a new tattoo aside from other peoples tattoos.

We need to remember tattooers aren't mind readers.

I think you need to have a better understanding yourself as to what you want tattooed on you and define it for the tattooer...aside from the vagueness "i just want something beautiful". That conveys the message that you just want the tattoo for the sake of having a tattoo. What do you really want? Flowers? A skull? Hot Stuff riding a unicorn? A shunga demon? These can all be beautiful tattoos...it sounds like the tattooer you've chosen truly wants to personalize a tattoo for you. Which is great! There are other tattooers that will slap on whatever off the wall and do a great job, and that's fine to if that's what you're looking for.

You've got 6 months to really understand yourself what you want and figure out how to express, articulate and communicate that to your tattooer. Good luck!

back in the early 80's it was still cool to pick pieces from the flash on the walls of the shop.
