  1. Yeah to be honest i think my artist just forgot, his daughter just finished school and came in the shop as he was wrapping. i have got a smaller tattoo on my wrist but its just a signature, nothing like the piece of got on my arm now. i will have to post pics, thanks for all the advice that i have received though, appreciate it. tattoo is now peeling a little and itchy as fuck. feel like i need to get a garden rake and give it a good old scratch! (dont worry, i wont touch it)

  2. when i say bath, i was sat in the bath washing it. my arm wasnt like soaking in or anything. i just submerged it to get it wet sorta thing. it looks better today though, think it was just the cream plus the ink plus the plasma shit so it just looked like everything was coming off lol. i feel better now. thanks guys :D

my artist didnt give me any aftercare advice..

so i text him yesterday and explained what happened, he just text back saying yeah thats normal, its just excess ink.

  3. I just got my first sitting of my sleeve yesterday.. and i had a bath last night just to clean it up a little bit afterwards i put some cream on. today i woke up with it hurting like hell, hella tight so i lathered it up in cream. decided to wash it again now and im worried about the amount of ink that is coming off.. like it looks like its coming off. this is my first tattoo, any help??

  4. Nobody in the world cares about my tattoos. But I really like them.

I've got a bird friend on my shoulder who will be with me always. Poor little Squeaky, the real bird, died when I was away. I never got to say good-bye and now I don't have to because Squeaky is always there on my shoulder.

I've got a story of hiking a long trail on my leg. If I ever get Alzheimer's I will probably at least remember that experience since it's right there on my leg to remind me of all that I saw and did out there.

I've got big blue roses. Lots of color. I was hated and criticized mercilessly all my life for being ugly but now I have pretty colors on my skin to make me happy.

And finally, my butterfly. First time I went to a tattoo shop the artist there told me of giving an old lady a tattoo of a butterfly on her arm because she had always wanted one. There are so many things in life I've always wanted to do and it took me a while to realize that someday never comes. Do it now. And even though a barely-graduated apprentice did my butterfly, he cleverly mirrored the motif of the leaves of my roses and tied it all together. I feel like I carry a flower garden and a little bit of spring around with me wherever I go.

I claimed my body from those who had prior claims, defined it my own way, not theirs, and made it my own. Nobody cares about my tattoos, some people probably scorn me for them, and for that I even feel more grateful because against their disapproval, here I am, taking up space with my garden and my memories, just being me.

    my eyes are watering.

  5. yeah why doesn't he use a cast bag? a bag people put over their casts when they shower/swim etc? he will look like a tool but atleast his tattoo will be preserved.

  6. Go Japanese.

It'll be worth it. The image will hold up longer. Realism looks nice for a while, but it doesn't last, and you'll have that arm for the rest of your life. But, the realism artist you did pick was very skilled at doing realism, very pretty.

do you mind explaining why it wouldn't last please? :)

i have taken your advice on board and have been looking at japanese artists in my area and none seem to be up to the standard that i would like. i mean obviously i wouldn't mind travelling as this is on me for life and so will be happy pay a lot and travel to have it done, if its a drive away. but does anyone know anyone to recommend thats in the southern uk?

  7. I am having a Buddha at the top and a temple on my forearm with flowers and a few other buddhist symbols like the wheel of dharma as a necklace around buddha's neck. and some words inscribed on the temple in sanskrit. have thought about it for ages now and just so excited i have my idea all put together and im having it very bright colour. oranges, reds, and yellows. so a very warm colour scheme. with dark shading (but not too dark) to make it really stand out.

    any thoughts are welcome :)

  8. What's up? I have always had a passion for tattoos. I got my first and only tattoo about 2-3 years ago now. Which is just my mothers signature on my wrist. I am booked in for a full sleeve in two months time which i have thought about for about a year now and cannnnnnnnot wait!! I just love looking at tattoos, I have so much appreciation for the art. And cant wait to browse this forum and look at all the talent and ideas with hopefully some good banter along the way!!

    From Southampton, UK.

  9. People are honestly just trying to help you out. You might find some responses perhaps a little snarky, but I would hope you can see it from their side. People on this site are passionate about their work, trying to make sure that people are educated enough to take care of their current and future art. If you ask a question and then dismiss the response, that seems disrespectful, not only to them but to the art itself. Go to reddit if you just want to ignore people.

Tattoing isn't just a fad to them, some shiny object to be picked up one second only to be discarded and forgotten the next. If you are willing to put something on your body, it shouldn't be for you either. You may have yolo'd your way into this tattoo, but respect it enough to take care of it so that it doesn't look like crud down the road.

Best of luck, have fun playing blackjack.

    LMAO.

    and duct tape?
