  1. From Master Nervio of Roses and Panthers. Just done today!
  2. So according to Nervio's facebook, he was stung by a scorpion on the hand that he tattoos with! Only in Mexico! Hopefully he is all healed up by next Tuesday
  3. First session, the next one we are going to salvage the owl if possible. Kemer at Superfly Tattoo, Leon Mexico.
  4. Just some leg filler... but I like it. Daughter's initials. Done by Sukre One at Superfly Tattoo, Leon Mexico.
  5. Nervio from Roses and Panthers is coming to town 1-4 of Sept, going to try and get a spot with him, Jesus Christ on my inner calf. Should be fun, pics to come if it happens!
  6. A rose and a horseshoe. From Sukre One, in Superfly tattoo, Leon Guanajuato Mexico.
  7. Thats nice to have water with you, but don't gulp it down. Then you will have to pee every 10 minutes and that makes it worse.
  8. Castle from Kemer at Superfly tattoos here in Leon MX
  9. It's funny, I always see your posts as I rifle through the archives and they are filled with insight and humor, and I asked myself "Where is this guy?" Glad that you are back! Nice to meet you!
  10. lol hope that wasn't sarcasm!!! Thanks though
  11. Got my ditch and elbow done yesterday. Not looking forward to the next few days. I hate having to keep my arm "locked" into the straight position. Hope the healing goes well though.
  12. Had this Jonah and Rock of Ages sleeve worked on yesterday by Juan "Superfly" Arreguin here in Leon Mexico. The only thing I am not sure is of this little filler that he did in the ditch - it is a skull but without black lines, just some blue lining and blue shading. I guess I will have to wait and see once it's healed. Other than that, completely stoked! Sorry for the crappy pictures.
  13. Yeah, on an old tattoo that wasn't done properly. I had an owl done that had little to no linework, just layers of ink, really badly done tattoo. I had a traditional style owl done to cover it a few years later. There was a specific place where the skin was pretty beat up and didn't heal well and even with the well-done cover up, the skin there just wouldn't hold ink well anymore. How well done was your original dragon? Going over it again might take care of it, but if there is scar tissue or the skin there is pretty beat up, might be tough!
  14. That is such a timeless, classic design, that will look good forever! Nice tattoo.
  15. the subtle use of white in that piece is amazing. nice work
  16. Sounds like you started right! Can't wait to see pics! Welcome
  17. just a little Indian action and tiger from Kemer here at Superfly tattoos in Leon Mexico
  18. I would try a rework before laser! A good artist could fix that up for sure.
  19. I once got a small moth tattoo with done with a rotary, lines healed like crap, some of the color healed like crap. Wasn't worth it, although I keep hearing how amazing they are. I think a lot of it depends on the artist though.

Is a tattoo affected by the sun if you are just wearing a regular long sleeve shirt though? I thought the actual fabric blocked some of the rays that would fade a tattoo. I mostly cover up everywhere I go anyways, w/ a flannel or whatever, hoodie in the winter. But thats mainly because I hate the sun.
  21. Anyone else with pictures of heart tattoos? I was thinking of an organ style heart but with minimal colors, and a more traditional style dagger.
  22. You started out right! There is tons of vintage flash out there, hand painted and stuff, too many ideas! Who did your tattoo, if you don't mind me asking?
  23. Thanks! I do have a style in mind, however I would appreciate knowing what kind everyone else likes also, just to see whats out there!
  24. Well this is my first thread. Hope to make it count! My sister gave birth to a baby who has Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS) and basically, my nephew will need to have 3 open heart surgeries within the first two years of his life. They are not simple procedures either, and a lot of his chance of survival is tied in with his strength and "willpower" to fight and survive. These things being said, I want to get a heart w/ a dagger tattoo in his honor. However, I am having a hard time finding hearts that I like. How do you guys like your hearts to look, more on the realistic side, more on the traditional side? Know of any artists who have a real skill for hearts? I will add a few pictures from the guy who will most likely be doing my tattoo, Juan Arreguin at Superfly Tattoo, he has been working on my sleeves. Thanks! - - - Updated - - - Sorry these pics are so huge! But you get an idea for his style and whatnot.
