1. Well.....I went to Virginia Beach the Thursday night before the Richmond Tattoo show and woke up Friday morning to go to Ancient Art Tattoo (VaBch) to be tattooed by Scott Sterling!

What was going to be a small banger to palm size tattoo.....turned into this........

Due to a lot of weight loss....I do have a roll on my side.....Scott used the fact that I have this and made it so the mouth opens and closes.....LMAO!

Very fresh photos....sorry the photos isn't better!

Did you get any work done at the Richmond Convention?

  2. Yeah, Steve is fricking amazing. Getmoretattoos :)

I'm at a cross roads now where I feel the need to seriously consider who I want to do a back piece before I move forward with anything else. There is a short list of people I'm considering.

James Tex, Damien Robertson, Rob Noseworthy, and Curtis Burgess.

There are so many amazing artists out there, and I love pretty much every style. It's just been a challenge to figure

    What fits me the best.

There are worse problems to have.

Maybe you should just have two or three different artists work on the back piece.

  3. It really did hold very well... this thread makes me a bit concerned as I'm booked to get a realistic color sleeve done in October(lions).

Assuming that my artist is as skilled as he seems to be, how long can I expect the sleeves to keep vibrant colors if properly taken care of?

It should keep the vibrant colors for a number of years. I wouldn't worry about it too much in your case.

  4. I was visiting my Friend in His new tattoo shop in the small toen of Zwolle, Holland. I saw some old flash he had laying around. I just love rosés so i Told him i Would love To have it. So he gave it To me day Well spent (otherwise i Would be at home just playing watchdogs)

Chap-- nice work. How old is your female pirate's head that's also in the pic?? It looks like the softer colors in that piece are aging well and not fading.

  5. What do you guys think of a tattoo done in this style, as far as longevity goes? This is from the portfolio of the artist who is doing my next tattoo. I want it done in this style, which in my mind is somewhere between traditional and fine line. He did some traditional swallows on my arms back in 2000 which have held up wonderfully, so if it is more an issue of artist than style, I feel very confident that his work will last:

    should hold up fine.

  6. I had an appointment to get a tattoo a few days ago and cancelled because I got cold feet, that has never happened to me before but lead me to believe that maybe I subconsciously knew this was an impulse piece more than a thoughtful one.

Did you end up losing the deposit?

  7. Okay, here's mine.

I got it when I was 17, less than a week after I decided I was getting a tattoo. For extra shit points, it's an album cover:

The guy who did it started it and then said, "Wait, are you 18?"

    "Uh... Yeah."

"Okay, I just have to ask."

I actually found his portfolio online not long ago and I'd never realised how lucky I was until then. My tattoo was one of his much better pieces. The top isn't bent like that, I took the picture at a weird angle.

I hated it for a long time but I don't think I could ever get rid of it now. It's old school as fuck.

that's not bad... it's bad-ass! Save it for the memories and what you were into when you were 17.

  8. The first bit of my new sleeve is booked in for the 5th of April. A big baphomet on my inner forearm. I have another tattoo further up my arm that I got about a month after I turned 18 and I've been planning on getting it fixed since about a week after I got it. Really happy to finally be getting started now.

can't wait to see the final product.

  9. It seems from your language that you are mistaking LST for a tattoo shop's website. Actually, this is just a forum for tattoo enthusiasts and collectors. On the other hand, Asheville has Danny Reed, who I would suggest for good tattoos.

That would be some wild shit if all the tattoos on this site came from one huge shop.

  10. Thanks you everyone, I totally love it!

The sternum was an 8 of 10 pain wise wasn't pleasant the nipple was a 10 on a mans scale of pain lol but it only lasted like 10 mins...

First day we did only 6 hours as we spent like 4 hours perfecting the picture and stencils and by 6 hours of work it was 1am and my Mrs had had enough so we called it. Second day 14 hours!

I am considering lasering y Remis piece as letting carlos do my whole front, we have some great ideas for it and the Remis piece just doesn't fit in

Keep that Remis piece. It's super-badass!!!
