Any tips for a top of foot tattoo? Got it done yesterday and doing the typical washing 3x/day, keeping wrapped in plastic. Was told to take plastic off tomorrow, but I'll be in work boots for 8hrs so considering keeping it on.

One more session to go and filling in the blank spot underneath.

@purplerain let me say again "reading comprehension." Getting the same tattoo reworked fucking sucks. If I hate it so much, why do I keep going back for the experience? Why did I say there's a nostalgia in the experience? Derp fucking derp.
Go away.

@purpleplace reading comprehension 101. Eat shit.

I've realized how much it sucks going back on a second session for the same tattoo. 5 hours on the shin and I mostly slept through it. 4 more hours to finish it/touch up I was in intense pain.
In conclusion, after 20+ hours of tattooing this last year, it just plain sucks, but there's a nostalgia to it and I want more.

Jun Cha. Unfinished, ran out of time and had to run to the airport. 16 hour session.
Reh, edited with better size & lost the likes.
Beautiful piece. It's unfortunate that this forum has little appreciation for B&G. It's all about the color here.

Wrist scripts are soooooooooo awesome.
Instant regret, 3..2...1.

I'm about to get another portrait style B&G done. I already have my calf done (from top to bottom and extending a little to the sides of the calf). Will it be odd placement to do a facial style portrait smack in the middle of the front of the leg since it's not a completely flat surface and has some curvature? This will be full size (just under knee to ankle)

Do you guys tend to keep a theme going on your sleeve or mix it up?

I like it.
My last leg piece didn't peel.

not to hate - i mean go get your spray on if you need to
but...the pain is such a part of getting a tattoo - i think i'd feel ripped off if it didn't hurt
I've spent enough time in the chair without. I figured the shin would be a crappy area and wanted something to help me sit through completion, rather than splitting the sessions.
I did 8hrs on my upper calf without anything. Not the point.
I'll go without, though, since y'all say the shin isn't that bad.

I can't actually answer your question, but I can tell you that I found my shin to be amazingly easier than I thought it would be. As in, one of the easiest spot so far
That's good to hear. I have a bony shin, so I'm afraid that part will be the worst. 12hrs on the calf was mostly a breeze.
-
I'm gonna puss out here. I'm about to get 6-12hrs of heavy detail on the shin area and would like something to help me sit through most of it.

No telling if it was from the tattoo. It's obvious that he went some decent amount of time (weeks, possibly months) before getting it treated.

Check out Kyle Giffen! He does some amazing stuff.
If you want a portrait piece, Nathan Hebert.
Fun stuff? There's all sorts of shit going on. House of torment is pretty good if you want Halloween themed.

I'm really just posting this to get my post count up haha. Apologies.
I know most of you are into traditional here, but this was the first proper back I've done and I was fairly happy with it.
This is fucking amazing.

Movie theme

What do y'all think about movie themed large pieces? Sleeves, etc.
I've got a large leg piece and am thinking about doing a horror movie theme on the other leg.
