gauze vs plastic wrap over a tattoo

Im not sure how it works in other states; but here in Kentucky USA gauze is the only acceptable wrap. Plastic wrap is strictly forbidden. I prefer the gauze anyways, its cleaner on the customer if they have to travel great distances like they do here.
