ok so I have finally finished researching everyone's amazing suggestions ! what can I say ? wow!! thank you all so much! @Dumpleton : wt Norbert! I checked that link and fell in love with what he does! one pic says he is in Sydney which is only about4.5 hrs from me, so not too bad travel wise! I would love for him to do my thighs or just one seeing I also checked Rose Hardy and was very impressed! she is brilliant! @Gregor : like I had said earlier, I saw Crispy lennox in a magazine I have here and got all excited. I think I need to add him to my list ! no idea for what, but I really like his work. I checked out Ali, she is in Brisbane. thanks for suggesting her too!She is a wonderful artist! would love to get something by her at some point! god you people are going to send me broke ;) @Amok : I ended up finding the article :) I also looked him up on the web and remember why he stuck in my head. brilliant! @Graeme : not sure I would get Trevors work but I really did enjoy looking through it! thank you for the suggestion! I do enjoy looking at Japanese tattoos, and reading about the tradition and how certain elements go together and others just don't. so again! thank you all for suggesting these amazing artists! now I must think a bit harder and save a bit more. definitely don't want to just rush in to my local artist for my thighs now, happy to wait a bit more and hopefully get something by some of the above artists :)

nothing super exciting really, just playing around with some little sewing projects using my 1951 singer. the motor is stuffed so I hand crank her, but I love it. and the new bbq arrived so we cooked some chooks in the rotisserie on the weekend (fucking awesome!) and roasted a leg of lamb in her too. (brilliant!) yeah- I live on the edge these days! ;)

very true :) and I love it when the tattoo is personalised to the couple (be them friends, relatives or lovers) and not just a generic obvious stamp of "hey we have a bond". my sisters and I almost agreed on the generic sisters in the infinity symbol, and its purely because the middle one is so fucking flaky we cant get her to agree on anything. the eldest and I have very similar tastes. glad we haven't got them yet in a way!

all I know is im going for thighs next! going in during the week to discuss my ideas and see what they draw for me. I have some ideas one set will be thighs and the other feet. its just a matter or=f which ideas where :)

you go to who ever is going to execute that particular style the best. some artists are awesome at portaits, others love traditional,etc.

I m also going to blame pinterest. as addicted as I am to that fuckin site. there are so many shitty tattoos being repinned over and over. one sheila I knew went on a tattoo spree- getting about 7 really common pinterest tattoos in a very short time frame. think infinity symbol, peterpan and wendy and the crew flying out behind her ear, a small elephant family and sdome other dumb ones. nothing altered. just "here I found this on pinterest, put it on me" type thing. I like pinterest and whatever- but I can see how its having a negative flow with tattoos too. im too tired to bother trying to make sense so I hope somebody out there is able to understand my drivel....

not as yet but my sisters and I have discussed doing the whole sister tattoo thing. only two of us can agree on some ideas- so that and the fact I live in a different state to them... I don't see it happening real soon! I have considered getting an axe on my ring finger for my husband.... he has mentioned doing something too- but no names!

if the tattoos themselves are done well it will look great. if they are shit tattoos done by a shitty person- then they will look like shit no matter how similar in style they are. that's how I see it anyway :) I love the idea of having a little bit of everything, showing appreciation for different styles and having them done by artists who are able to execute them well.

sewing- using my husbands late grandmothers singer ( 1951.) first electric and has a knew crank, BUT the motor is stuffed so I have been hand cranking and LOVE it. also fixing up an early 1950's Pinnock sewing machine. this one is a treadle and was made in Lithgow at their small arms factory.

humpday drinks alone .....

I recently read on instagram a tattooist write something along the lines of doing tatty zappin- it just sounded really immature. something I would have expected to hear from young boys in early high school trying to sound cool...

I have 7 butterflies on my right hip and for the past 10years (shit!! did NOT realise it had been that long!) have been trying to decide what sort of bug or insect to but on the left. Have tossed between lady bugs, dragonflies, moths, spiders..... I like the idea of having something like a bunch of spiders on that side . something not so cutesy :)

I was wondering about random spasms too after a friend spoke about involuntary foot spasm while having her upper arm done - she said it was just this one spot and her foot would jerk even when she held her leg down.
