Happy New Year peoples! 
First tattoo for the year, yesterday arvo. Right front forearm. 
While I was there Kyle was looking at my arm and goes "sorry dude but we're doing your elbow next" .
 
Shite.
Next appointment is Feb 10 for the reverse mermaid I missed out on last year. Then it's elbow . Thinking flower as it's an odd shaped gap. See what happens. I still want the sad eye cloud thing. Might whack that on my leg instead.

That skeleton hand holding a candle tattoo is really cool. I was thinking of getting something similar on my chest. Then when I wear a t-shirt, you'd only see the flame sticking out. Think it would be a fun subtle tattoo!

I’ve got both elbows done as part of my sleeves. I can tell you they hurt like hell. Fortunately it’s a small area. Thin skin right in bone!!!
I’m glad I had them done though.
 

I wear that shirt all the time. I enjoy the confusion in people's face since I am covered in tattoos.

Well, I’ve healed more tattoos than most doctors. I’m almost done with a body suit. I have well over 200 hours in the chair, probably closer to 300.

I was meant to have a couple more appointments, but one of my girls had a few scares. All good now.
 
Saturday I got the horse on my left inner bingo wing and the flipped demon/lady head on front left thigh.
Horse was mostly fine, but ita arse was a bit rough going.
Lady demon sucked. There was no consistency (very different to outer thigh which I could get into a groove with and was fine).  She went from easy, to shit, to easy every few seconds. But Kyle is super fast, so he smashed them out quick which made it easier.
Nice and red and bruised today! 
 
Next appointment is end of September. 

Oh I'm fully expecting to hate myself for it 🤣 
But it will be worth it... right 🥲🥴

My elbows were both super painful. But I think my knee was the worst.

I have both my elbows and knees done, honestly they were not that bad, my knee ditches were bad,
I don't have any good pics of my elbows

My back piece took about 18 months. About one session a month. Sometimes two, sometimes skip. 3 hours per session. It was worth it.

3 hours is a real sweet spot for me too. No need to go much longer. Props to those who can continually do the marathon sessions. I like to look forward to my session each month, not dread it 😂.

I agree. I used to do 5 or 6 hour sessions, but I just can’t sit that long any more.

Everyones painscale is different. For me- a 10 is childbirth . 
None of my tattoos have felt like I was pushing a 10lb 7 oz baby out of my vagina again, but some people do state that some tattoos are a 10. Everyone will have a different idea of pain based on their lived experiences. ( compare someone who has only stubbed a toe vs someone who has broken a bone for example )
If you want easy peasy pain- go arms. outside of arm is a piece of piss. Inner forearms more sensitive than outer, but still nothing hard to deal with (very low pain scale for me, more of an annoyance than pain). 
Eat a decent meal the day of and the night before, be well rested, well hydrated, don't be loaded on drugs or hung over from a night on the sauce and you will be fine. 
 
As far as the design goes, they may just use skin breaks instead of actually using white ink. 
As far as communicating with the artist- research who is out there and see what they prefer. Some prefer email, some in person, some say fill out an online booking request. 
Do the research and you'll get the answers you're after.
 

I got this Baphomet head from Tim Lehi last month. Why? Easily my favorite tattooist, and I think he understands what I am going for. He has tattooed me a few times and always gives me suitable tattoos for me, like he knows me, ha.

We’re doing 1 session a month. It’s a good cadence for me, we do about 3 hours per session. 

Slowly but surely! Realizing now the mindfuck that is a full backpiece. About 15 hours in and not even close to halfway there. Enjoying the process!
