TattooedMumma reacted to Peedib89 in Latest tattoo lowdown.....
Finished up my TMNT piece today. The picture is a little bit before we finished, I forgot to grab a finished shot. Waiting on my artist to send me the video he took.

TattooedMumma got a reaction from Colored Guy in Thinking about tattooing my fat belly. Good/bad idea?
Nah waiting on original poster.
I'm trying to con the hairy husband into tattooing his beer belly though.
Closest thing I have to a belly tattoo is the one under my boobs. (Which I'm trying to add a pic of but it's not letting me)

TattooedMumma got a reaction from keepcalm in The ladies thread
hey @keepcalm , I only have one arm tattoo so far , its on the under/ outer side of my forearm. My arms aren't massively hairy, but the artist did need to shave the area anyway and the hair grew back no different to my other arm which is tattoo free in the same area. Everyone is different I guess, but I woud assume as a once off you woudnt notice much difference. I remember a girl in high school shaved her arms all the time and the hair always grew back rather intense, but my guess is that's due to the repeated shaving.

Been chatting to the local tattooist who did my sternum (heart and daggers). Am after a crows/skulls/roses piece on my outer right thigh. He is keen to make a start, probably looking at Feb. He does a lot of American traditional and neo traditional, I told him I'm happy for him to just have at it and do what he likes with it. Really keen to see what he comes up with!

TattooedMumma reacted to Gingerninja in Do you ever take a friend when you get a new tattoo?
Last week, I saw the worst behavior in the shop. These two young (early 20's) people came in for small matching tattoos. She proceeded to FaceTime for at least 20 minutes, they made out with each other and were so disruptive. It was everything that I could do not to say anything. They were just below the line of being asked to leave. I was five feet away, in pain and I wanted to throat punch her. The artist grinned and bared it for the 30 minutes they were there. What the ** is wrong with people?

TattooedMumma reacted to InkIncShow in Ink Inc. (Miami Ink Parody)
Hey Folks-
I am a filmmaker and tattoo enthusiast. I've been going to the Greenpoint Tattoo Company in Brooklyn, New York for five years now and the owner (John Reardon) and I have always joked about Parks and Rec set in a tattoo shop. Well, we made it- albeit in web series form. It can be seen here for free:
Episode 1
Episode 2
Episode 3
Episode 4
Episode 5
There is a bit more information and a binge watch version on www.inkincshow.com. It stars a few other tattooers and plenty of weird clients. We really wanted to stay true to tattooing and expose some of the more annoying things artists deal with on a day to day basis. I hope you enjoy it.

Just booked my second Tattoo at Dead Presidents Lounge in Albany. Will be getting a modified Sailor Jerry as a memorial to my grandfather who recently passed away. The banners will be changed and he’s going to move the ship up and try to get the full ship in. It will be on the back side of my forearm. I attached the reference picture and a picture of the 1st piece my artist did for me.

TattooedMumma reacted to JAC1961 in Upcoming Tattoos
Really stoked. I had a consultation on Tuesday for my second tattoo at Enso Tattoo in Columbus, OH. Went great, really looking forward to it. He said he prefers to keep sessions to 3 to 4 hours and that mine will be 2 or 3 sessions. From what I've read, my artist is no nonsense and puts in a good hours work. Waiting to hear back for my first appt.
It's going to be a color half sleeve asian tiger on my left arm. Below is the reference print I gave. Looking forward to posting pics of the progress.

TattooedMumma reacted to JAC1961 in #MeToo in the tattooing community
It's sad to see happen anywhere, but not surprising. It happens in every walk of life, every profession, so there's no reason to think that tattoo artists are immune to it.
Some may find it barbaric, but I believe in the old fashion ways. If that type of thing happened years ago, the woman's father, brothers, uncles, etc. would impress upon the over-sexed prick the error of his ways and explain why it wouldn't happen again. Of course today you can't do such things.
When my wife and I got married MY dad told my wife that I if I ever laid a hand to her just to let him know and he'd take care of it... and he would have.

TattooedMumma reacted to Hogrider in Slightly nervous
Maybe you're nervous because it's going to hurt like a bitch ... maybe. What's very sensitive on one person may not hurt bad on someone else. As my artist always says, just because it hurts is no reason not to get tattooed.

TattooedMumma got a reaction from Kurgana in Your First Tattoo
My first tattoo was a trail of seven butterflies going from the front of my right hip up and around my side. I was 19 and at the time the first two sat in my undies line and the last one closer toward my back. 4 kids and 12 years on, they sit very differently ? poor things have been through a fair bit! In the past I wanted to either rework them or add to them, but now I'm too sentimental and like them all stretched and sad looking ?

Well mine is super exciting.
I like the Inked magazines, and I have tattoos and I'm a Mum... so yeah... InkedMumma it is.
Like I said, super exciting.
could be worse. My first Instagram name was AngryVagina purely because every real combo of my real name was taken and I was just plain pissed off by the end.
