How many weeks has it been since you got the tattoo? And are you sure the scabbed spots "pulled" ink? It might just be cloudy underneath with an extra layer of dead skin giving it the appearance of not so solid ink. I would give it a few more weeks let it completely heal and lotioning it up a few times a day to keep the skin nice and hydrated (as long as all the scabs are off) and then see how it looks. My last tattoo scabbed heavily, i let all the scabs fall off naturally and underneath looked cloudy. Gave it a few more weeks and now the tattoo is nice and solid. Maybe a touch up here and there but way better then i initially expected.

I'm into that saying that each of us deserves the tattoos they got.

I thought we could use a thread that shined a little light on some of the artists we love, but aren't necessarily very renowned or getting the recognition we feel they deserve.
Lets get the ball rolling....
I've been a fan of the work of James Tex of Deadly Tattoos inc, located in Calgary, Canada, for a few years now. I'm sure a lot of you are familiar with his work, and some members here might even know him personally and/or have tattoos from him.
Anyways, I stumbled across him a while back in another tattoo forum where a member showed off the progress of a Samurai sleeve he was getting done from Tex. I was blown away by his work, and to my great viewing pleasure he had a fairly large online portfolio on his shops website: Deadly Tattoos inc.
I'm not sure if everyone agrees with me in that he's "low key", but I can't say that I have read an article about him or seen any pictures of his tattoo except on his website (and obviously the forum I mentioned).

I'm not a tattooer, but you may want to limit your aquaphor use. I had similar problems healing tattoos with aquaphor. Now I just stick to plain old lubriderm. Sometimes those ointments can be trouble on certain people.

Might as well book with Grime now too, I should have enough money saved come 3 years from now...
I have an appointment with Tim Lehi in a couple weeks to do something on my shoulder. I only have a general idea of what I want and am probably gonna let him do his thing with most of it. He's one of my favorite (possibly my #1) artists/tattooers, so I'm sure I will not be disappointed.

Just went into town and got these two from Ben Fraser of Good Luck Tattoo (melbourne),
the dudes a cool cat and the shop is nice aswell, the walls are dominated by awesome Steve Bolts and Scott Sylvia flash.

Nah, of course not. Nobody knows everything. n__n d Questions are good.

Also, don't over moisturize. Sometimes I baby my new tattoos too much and they start to bubble a little. Which means you just have to leave the guy alone and let it stay dry.

Kevin, is 100% in the right in everything he has said in my opinion. Hes an artist not a baby sitter. Drake is a fkn pussy. If I ever make it out to the US, I'm def getting tattooed at Will Rise. Been a fan of Norm since his graf days. Sick cunts (In Australia, thats a compliment).

Man, I wish all the people I tattooed valued my opinion over theirs. Trying to politely convince someone that their tattoo is a bad idea when they are dead set on it can be pretty draining...
