  1. @Zmanlane I agree that is looks to be healing fine. I know for me linework scabs up harder than color and it can take up to 3 weeks for all the scabbieness to work out. And then a few weeks after that before it is really all healed up. That is a pretty damn fancy tattoo you got there. I like it.
  2. But, on topic, I did the Elm Street Friday the 13th thing a few weeks ago and got a little flying eyeball on my shoulder above my TARDIS. I like it so now I'm going to go back every Friday the 13th until I have a little squadron of them flying around the TARDIS.
  3. I was really disappointed that sausage chose to be a dick with the challenge. He should have at least gave Matti a decent tattoo.
  4. At least the finale was only an hour. Weren't there 2 or 3 hour finales for some seasons. I remember trying to watch one a couple of years ago and giving up realizing it was just going to be a couple hours of masturbation before anything interesting happened.
  5. I understand. I moved to Dallas for a job but my family is still in Indiana. If it weren't for the whole 'maintaining 2 households' thing I would likely be moving at a faster pace myself. I am considering moving below the elbows soon. I think when I make that move I will have to go back to Bloomington and let Jereme make that first tattoo. He did my mushrooms and the skull/wings tattoos on my legs. I think if he were anywhere bigger than Bloomington, Indiana more people would know of him.
  6. Found your intro thread to catch your back story. Nice to see someone else get back into getting tattooed after a long time away. I too got started by covering up some regrettable tattoos from my youth in my early 40s and I not seem to have hit a stride of about one hand sized piece every 6 months or so. Moving to Dallas with Olliver's convention happening regularly sure has helped. That is a nice collection you have going there.
  7. I agree with @oboogie I would have voted CRO out before Christian or Anthony. I was kind rooting for that big hillbilly James though. He cracked me up, and at a certain level the show is more about entertainment value than tattoos. I agree that it is a risky thing for artists to go on there but fuck. How desperate for a tattoo would you have to be to volunteer to be a canvas? There have been some really crappy tattoos walk off of that show.
  8. I agree. I know I started off with some really bad tattoos and I'm sure I'm not the only one. That is one good thing that came from me spending all of my younger money on booze and drugs is that I did not get more bad tattoos than I did. Then I had kids to raise so when they grew up and i could spend money on myself again I had learned what good tattoos are and can be and now I have some fantastic pieces. I know the person with the tattoos didn't start the thread. And I'm not sure that I see tattoo shaming in any better light than slut shaming (or any shaming for that matter (except Trump shaming, that is totally legit)), but I think any opportunity for tattoo education can help people. I wore some godawful tattoos for over 20 years so if I can be a part of helping someone to not go through that I think that is a good thing.
  9. Finding the balance between work, fun, and musical tastes. Thursday night was Reagan Youth. Friday morning in a shirt and tie working in a client office, Friday night a house show with Austin Lucas and Adam Faucett. And today I'm cleaning the apartment listening to rockabilly radio. 16 year old me would be so confused.
  10. I'm now at the point where I feel like I am leaving a trail of colored DNA behind me wherever I go.
  11. The worst spot I've hit so far has been behind the knee. And then when I saw the tattoo it wasn't nearly as far up there as I thought it was while it was happening.

  14. Now that we have settled into the new house how about we have a new contest? Could be fun.
  15. Not sure how this reply to this thread from the other day wound up in the video game thread. I was looking at the list and thought "What the hell would I have said in a video game thread? The only game I play is War Light" I've run a couple of forums and spammers are always a problem. Even when you use a service like stopforumspam some still get through.
  16. I object to the anarchy tattoo being classified as a hate tattoo the same as a swastika. Granted it was a big damn thing to cover up but I would not put it at the same level as a swastika. This is not just because I also had an anarchy tattoo that was covered up.

  18. Little Friday the 13th tattoo from Joe Haasch at Elm Street Tattoo, Dallas, TX
