  1. Ya don't need to be a professional to know a blown line when you see one. My skin hits blow outs from time to time. Even my tattooer mentioned to me he has to take extra precaution because my skin is so transparent that it's easy to hit a blow out from time to time. I had some full lines on my calf that blew out real thick, that pulled back into line after time, which is cool...I like bold as fuck line work anywhere we can slam it in. I've also had the blow outs where the ink has spread out, mainly on my fingers & hands where you know that spread is blown for good. By the picture I saw of your blow out, it reminds me of a blown spread that won't reverse. I like my blown lines, they add character, and some of my blow outs are of Runic symbols consisting of straight line work. Nothing that can be done about it now. At first, with those Runic symbols & me wanting them to be perfect, it annoyed me for 2 weeks, now I don't give a fuck...I like them the way they are. We understand, this is your 1st tattoo, and if it's the 1st of many more to come, believe me...in time it won't bother you one iota. Suit down...that's the answer!
  2. ^ that is fuckin cool "Booze, Blues & Tattoos"
  3. The only ill effects I have ever experienced post tattoo has been the over stimulation on the central nervous system after a long & gruelling session. At times if I have been feeling under the weather, as in starting to feel sick, I reschedule. Nothing worse getting drilled while you're crook.
  4. On another note. I have an old, old brother who is covered in home poke tattoos, mostly applied with a single needle between two match sticks wrapped in cotton. By anyone's "standard" they're shit, but he's sported most of these since he was 15, and I gotta say they've stood the test of time...he punched them in! I couldn't ever see him with anything else. They're him, they all tell a very particular story, he earned every single one...and you know? He today is just as proud of those tattoos as anyone of us who have had anyone of our custom shop pieces done. When I sit with him after all these years, even some of those tattoos bring back for us a very particular incident, a time in our lives to reflect. Isn't that what tattooing is all about? I think sometimes we forget the basic nature, that primal instinct towards why we mark our skin sometimes. And maybe I can place this part in the "what have I learned from becoming tattooed" thread...and that's not to be so judgemental on the aesthetics alone. Everyone has a story. There's lots of reasons to "why". "Booze, Blues & Tattoos"
  5. I want some @SeeSea. Send me some over, today...right now..do it. "Booze, Blues & Tattoos"
  6. If I hear you screamed like a little bitch @Graeme, I'm sorry, no cold beer for you. "Booze, Blues & Tattoos"
  7. As they say, it's not the size of the dog in the fight. It's the size of the fight in the dog. "Booze, Blues & Tattoos"
  8. Welcome Johnny. Before ya know it, you'll be punching piss for breakfast. Ciders that is. "Booze, Blues & Tattoos"
  9. Sounds like a good bloke. There's so much I'd like to quote & reply on in that original post, I just don't know where to begin. "Booze, Blues & Tattoos"
  10. It may be Verano you're talking about @Fala. If so, that shit is the bomb! Not just the pear, but all their blends are nice as fuck. [edit] My mistake. Verano is a Spanish cider. "Booze, Blues & Tattoos"
  11. @SeeSea. Breakfast ciders are becoming something regular of late I see. Have you tried the Sailor Jerry 80 proof spiced rum? I just returned from 2 days riding and camping out while attending some dirt drags - and took with me a bottle of this, drinking it neat. Smooth, moorish, and after polishing of 3 quarters sipping straight, woke with no hangover with an 8 hour ride in front of us. I think you should try this, the SJ spiced rum that is. Steak, eggs & cider. We choose from the exact same menu :) "Booze, Blues & Tattoos"
  12. Exactly! Oh, and after...lots of it. It's all about keeping the average up. "Booze, Blues & Tattoos"
  13. @SeeSea. There's a couple of nice ones in there. I made a point of riding to my bottle o the other day to purchase some Aspalls but they were all out. Went the Ol' trusted Bulmers instead. I've noticed you guys have a truck load of different ciders on tap there. I'm envious. I'm thinking a U.S.A trip might be on the cards one of these days. I wanna ride your roads for one. A mate just returned again from riding a 30 day trip through the States. He had a blast! What to do!!.. Just started saving for another motorcycle.
  14. LO fkn Loud @Shaggy. I just realised your an Aussie too. No wonder you were right on to the piss up in the shower post tattoo! Fkn nice one mate!
  15. @Shaggy. Nice one! It's funny the cold alcoholic beverage in the warm shower routine. It's one of those secret handshake in the know kinda deals.
  16. Some are related by blood, others born out of respect. "Booze, Blues & Tattoos"
  17. Tomorrow. It's a combo of Vintage cars & motorcycle dirt drags. Swags on the bike, the boys are all set, the back route sorted, the spiced rum rolled up in the swag. Good times. "Booze, Blues & Tattoos"
  18. @Breakme. In another post you make mention of personal struggle regarding confidence. For a lady that rides and commits to becoming heavily tattooed, I'm taking a punt that your doing just fine. :) "Booze, Blues & Tattoos"
  19. And that @Breakme is what will continue your path of inner strength, that only those who are committed to becoming heavily tattooed will ever understand. As someone mentioned on this forum a little while ago, it's a visual representation of loyalty, commitment & strength. Never a truer word spoken which sums it up perfectly in any context of conversation with anyone at anytime. There's no need for further elaboration to those who don't understand this concept. "Booze, Blues & Tattoos"
  20. ...especially sweeping a corner that never ends.
  21. That's only a 6 pack tattoo. He got ripped man. "Booze, Blues & Tattoos"
  22. 15 hours on a course is a good start to understand the dynamics of counter steering, slow riding and emergency stopping. The next 5 years on the road is where you'll learn the awareness needed for survival. Nothing in this world beats the freedom of an open road. Tomorrow, 20 of us are hitting an overnight camp out motorcycle and car dirt drags. 3 Rock n roll bands, open bar, good times. "Booze, Blues & Tattoos"
  23. Pain meds & alcohol. A great combo, at anytime. Especially for breakfast. "Booze, Blues & Tattoos"
