  1. Ok, I have to recant. Slightly. I took a good look (as much as I can in a mirror, lol) and there are white and light blue parts of my tattoo up in the blue of the water and in the clear of the jellyfish were you can see my freckles. It actually looks like the white ring of the jellyfish is a little dirty! This is not part of an outline, but they do show through some of the lighter ink.
  2. Chill. We know how you feel about @Graeme. Let it go - be part of the solution. Get Great Tattoos!
  3. I think that's crap. I am freckled and you can't see a lick of freckle or skin under my tattoo.

    Welcome! Love that wolf!
  5. That gives you an idea how they will fare in the long term. If they feel that nothing else is useful here, even the "biggest complaints" thread for some perspective on artist/client relationships, or http://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/forum/general-tattoo-discussion/2396-what-makes-good-tattoo.html, they are not someone I'd be interested in being tattooed by.
  6. Welcome! You'll find that talking about specific machines or techniques is not tolerated on the boards. Please read the forum rules. But you'll find lots of other great stuff here! Last Sparrow Tattoo - Forum Rules
  7. @UglyButProud - oh boy what a story. Hopefully no one else smelled it, but if you are in an environment where you can wear flip flops to a client meeting, maybe you'll get a pass.
  8. Welcome! If each of your tattoos will be taking less than 2 hours, you should be fine getting both on the same day. Take a look over in the Saniderm/etc. thread for a lot of great information: http://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/forum/tattoo-after-care/4795-tegaderm-saniderm-tatuderm-healing-process.html. Many here swear by it, others don't use it. I doubt it would make your tattoo more vibrant unless you really screwed up a heal or got an infection healing it normally, but it certainly can help with the annoyance of having an open wound. But a good piece of advice is to try it out on your skin first to see if you have a reaction to it.
  9. I will never smell Dial soap again and not think of healing a tattoo. Especially the joy of that first wash.
  10. Yup - that's how some blowout on my back was "fixed." Looks fine now.
  11. So we're pretty much at Strike 3 here in my book. Perhaps you/someone could provide the regulations for Iowa. And ask this teacher why he felt that there wasn't a need to even ensure conditions were the same as the state the children were enrolled in.
  12. @The Tig - lemmee get this - your brother all but called your wife a whore and all you gave him was stink-eye?
  13. Restraining order trips me up every time. Dammit.

    Hi

Welcome! Yes, lots of great stuff and great folks here. Enjoy!

    Gday!

Welcome! Sounds like you are going to have a heck of a roll call when you fill up that skin of yours!
  16. Welcome! Enjoy this place - as you are finding out there are lots of good articles and discussions.
  17. Welcome! Sorry no one made it over here to welcome you to LST. Egyptian sounds pretty cool - that's a lot of neat imagery. You don't have to plan the entire sleeve. Choose some things you like and go see a good artist and ask for advice. Good luck!
  18. Ugh, the next post is a pic and a request for a cover-up. :-(
  19. Welcome! How did it go?
  20. Had dreams all night long about my session in two weeks. Every time I woke up, I'd go back down and have another dream. I'm getting excited - flying out to hang with mom in SF before heading over to SJ. It's getting real!
  21. A healing tattoo normally peels. If the peeling would be from tattoo healing, you are fine. I am wonder why you think your skin would peel later - did you truly just get a tan, or did you get a burn that turned into a "tan" and will likely peel in a few days? If that is the case, then wait. If your skin has to heal from being in the sun recently, let it finish healing before you beat the crap out of it with a new tattoo - that is your best chance to heal without problems. But you do not wait for a "tan" to "fade" to get the tattoo. I hope that makes sense.
