I don't see anyone beating that Chad K/Jondix back, but I'll submit one of my skulls for the fun of it. I like the themed contests, at the very least they can serve as a good source of inspiration for people looking to get a certain thing tattooed.
Anyways, here's my skull from Steve Byrne at ROA from a few years ago. Don't really have a healed photo, but found one that kinda works. It's loosely based off of a anti-bolshevik German propaganda poster I saw at the Harry Ransom center in Austin while I was in Austin earlier that day.

My pup passed away back in June. Last Sunday, Jeff Rassier just so happened to have some time available for walk-ins, so I went and got his tiny tatt version of Huckleberry on my wrist. None of my tattoos has made me smile more!

My dog is a huge nerd. Her name is Zelda. She steals seats.


My cats are pretty silly too. They are Maine Coons named Ares and Mars .Ares is the little one, at 15 lbs; Mars weighs in at ~30.

Together, they turn my house into a zoo.

I haven't posted anything in a long time but this is a tattoo I got in October by Scott Sylvia. I plan on booking another appointment with him on Thursday. I'll be sure to post pics. I think I attached the pictures correctly. Let me know if you see it! Thank you all for looking. 

Planning on getting my back done by Dave Cummings in a year. Im going to discuss it with him while he tattoos my arm at the convention. Im not sure what I want yet. Im thinking either Benten, some sort of giesha imagery, or just a dragon. Ill probably go with the latter. I always lived dragon back pieces, and I LOVE the one he did on Halter.
Im grateful that he's fairly close to New Brunswick, its only a 1 hour plane ride, although it would be nicer if I lived in Montreal.
I am nervous about the pain. Im a pretty good sitter, but when I got my chest done, the pain and discomfort was unbearable. 4 hour sit. One shot. Might have to do with the fact I have almost no muscle on my chest, the tattooer who did it is slow and heavy handed, and it was right on my sternum. I dont know. I guess Ill have to just suck it up. Recently I found that not listening to music and not being on my phone makes the experience much better. You kinda go into a meditative state when you dont destract yourself. I fell asleep during my last leg tattoo.

I've had 2 consecutive days with Chris Crooks from White Dragon Tattoo in Belfast. First day he did all the line work (7 hours) and the second day he did background and some shading (6 hours). It was an amazing experience with a phenomenal artist and down to earth great guy. I'm blown away by the quality and speed of his work.
He put a video up on his instagram doing the piece more justice. I will be flying back to Belfast in December for the continuation of this piece.

welcome, @scottyg! congrats on going for the back! you've found the right place for advice. best thing i could say is to skim thru this thread from the beginning.  there's a lot of great advice from some of the LST veterans and even some well known tattooers who no longer post here. there's many treasures to be found among these here threads.
you have good reason to be nervous. it's going to hurt like hell. but it'll all be worth it in the end!
