  1. hey guys, reviving an old topic as now i'm thinking of getting a tattoo on my ear. i wanted it to be a combination of dots, lines and shadings like so: As i read through this thread, many comments suggested not going ahead with the ear tatoos due to the area not being large enough, not being able to tattoo bold ink and so forth. but what about with going along with something like the above.
  2. got some dots and lines by alvaro flores in melb: planning to turn this whole arm into a blackwork sleeve by works from jondix, gerhard, anna day, kenji and others when/if i get a chance.
  3. yes, that's what i thought. i have been wearing long sleeves the last few days but after reading through this thread, it seems that normal clothes don't protect the tattoo? i have to get special uv clothing?
  4. hey guys, quick question; my artist has told me to wash twice and use really small amounts of bepanthen after wash for 10 days. i got my tattoo 5 days ago. my job involves me being both inside and outside periodically. can i put on both bepanthen and sunscreen or do i just put on sunscreen and leave the bepanthen off? thanks?
  5. This might be a silly question but where I'm about to get tattooed, (in 5 days) my cat has scratched me. It's not deep or anything. Can the tattooist still go ahead and tattoo over the scratch marks? Here's a photo: http://i.imgur.com/tKeJ2UI.jpg and another one: http://i.imgur.com/8qgfp5D.png purple circle, scratch that has already scabbed up. red circle fresh ones but they're not deep at all. a bit raised and red.
  6. interesting. thanks guys. in my mind i had it pinned as something from the Buddhist or eastern mysticism world. glad to see answers that i wasn't expecting. time to go googling!
  7. I've seen this style of tattooing done by a lot of black work tattooists. Here's some images http://41.media.tumblr.com/f67ae209af21dc0ab6e7766214765d8e/tumblr_niyt5z6JxV1qerbdoo1_1280.jpg http://41.media.tumblr.com/f99c604fec4e8e29f23cf8f5e8b2964d/tumblr_nj9xctHBTZ1qerbdoo4_1280.jpg http://41.media.tumblr.com/7f04644f13a1ef5c49a29b76a2481c12/tumblr_nbc7zwvjWu1qerbdoo2_1280.jpg with this particular one, the line with the zig zag and the circle under the chin, i've seen that in a lot of buddhist imagery. anyone have a name for it? http://40.media.tumblr.com/4461900cc77a02e2f88b201f08ec61a1/tumblr_n1k3jyEmef1qerbdoo3_r3_1280.jpg i asked on another forum and one user said it might be related to moroccan wedding tattoos: Kenzi / Morocco anyone able to shed more light? cheers! ps. hope this is in the right forum. if not, feel free to move to the appropriate location.

  10. I face the same 'problem'. However, not looking to get a bodysuit. So far through my research, these are the following mixed styles I've come across: Unknown: Jondix did this one: Stefan Sinclair did this one: Peter Madsen did this one: Hooper: Trevor Mcstay w/ the Japanese and Jondix with the black Guy Le w/ the chest piece: Collab with Teniele Sadd and Alvaro Flores: I know some of these are a stretch but this is the stuff I could find..
  11. Thanks guys, keen to be a part of this community :)
