If every space you ever enter in life has to be completely culturally sterilized and cannot possibly offend any one of the billions of people on this planet then you would live a very boring life. Let there be some differences and if they're not to your taste, simply don't open the magazines, don't eat the food, etc. Different strokes for different folks. Side note: I'm sure not every tattoo artist has an end goal of opening themselves to the largest possible customer base and making as much money as possible. Some people (not just tattoo artists) want to do their own thing how they want to do it-- and if it doesn't completely traumatize other people I don't see the harm in allowing them to live their life as they choose. Their choice does not have to affect you. Just don't open the magazine and your own life will continue on your own way.

    I currently have the least amount of musical gear I've had in a long time. been selling it all off to pay the bills. here's what's left: Gibson Custom Shop '57 Les Paul Jr MIJ Fender Telecaster that's heavily modded. that guitar through the 67 bassman I just sold was twang heaven. Fender American Vintage '57 P-Bass 1987 Ampeg "Skunkworks" SVT Classic head. #49 out of 500. And still too many pedals...

    just a heads up you're not going to get this answered here. this forum has been set up to avoid making tattoo knowledge available to the public. maybe you'll get an answer in a PM, maybe/probably you won't... Tattoo Newbie Guidelines specifically: Do not start threads asking about specific tattooing equipment or techniques, LST is not here to teach anyone how to tattoo. Ask your own tattooer, the next time you are getting tattooed. Maybe they'll answer you, maybe they won't. Do not start threads regarding closely guarded trade secrets - this will keep LST a much more welcoming place for everyone, tattooers and enthusiasts alike.

    been super busy with school and a new job. trying to find extra time for anything is tough, let alone going in to get my ribs poked... probably won't happen until between summer and fall semesters.

    on Conn's behalf, and this is just speculation, but if I was dealing with health stuff I'd be charging whatever I could get away with to pay health bills too. along with the 80 other reasons people have already given. I can't remember if I already said something like this earlier in the thread... finals are a bitch.

    close- the United Artists in Berkeley. they do five dollar "retro" movies every thursday there. pretty awesome seeing the t-rex scene on the big screen. they're also doing ghostbusters, big lebowski, fear and loathing in las vegas, and the godfather.

    oh yeah. every time. I did meet someone at my gym with tattoos by Horitomo, Lango, and Theo Mindell (if I remember correctly.) was shocked compared to the shitty hippy or brotastic meathead tattoos I see usually. and I just do a shit ton of rock climbing with an extra dose of arm and core work thrown in. mostly body weight stuff that relates to climbing moves like pull ups, dips, incline sit ups, etc.
