A friend is the motorcycle advocate for Garza Law. They have purchased Thunder Roads TN/KY and she wanted the inaugural issue to display the diversity of riders and rides. Just dropping in a pic of my almost finished Matt Collins full back for the thread. Home stretch now, it’s 90% done just got a few touch ups to go, maybe 29 hours work so far I think? Stoked!

Hey all - it's been a long time!  Between having a baby and surprise global pandemic, I took a 3 year tattoo hiatus.  You can imagine I was very excited to put an end to that extended break this past weekend with this piece by Steve Flores at Spiral Tattoo in Ann Arbor, MI.  Knee ditch butterfly:


 
I was really nervous about how I was going to heal this spot with a toddler running around.  I haven't bent my leg more than 45 degrees in 5 days, so we'll see how it turns out. 😛

I needed Tables/Workbeches for my new workplace. Since I couldn't find suitable ones, I made them myself, so they would use the available space as best as possible

So? An update on this?

So, if you are in the area (or want to travel) we are having our 3rd bike show at our church. Fun, food, great bikes, crafts. We are trying to get kids 12 & under to decorate their bikes and have fun with them. For the motorcycles, the Time Warp Vintage Motorcycle Club has made this a club event for this year. They have some pretty great machines!

kinda lost track of this place, so here's what i've been up to over the last few years...work on my legs by the fantastic @Scott Sylvia

Started filling in my legs with stars and dots this last week. Also got this lil’ ZZ Top tribute on my leg.

Here's an update at around 20 hours. The outline took 3 sessions to finish, around 10 hours (so. many. lines.). But we've been making steady progress with relatively short appointments every 2-3 weeks, and the cover up is almost done. I'm loving the wildflower color palette and all the little creatures peeking out here and there.

Its been a while. Just got this about a week ago.

Two weeks away from finally finishing my sleeve with Garver. Yeah! 

Finally, my turkey vulture back piece is finished in just around 30 hours. Hammered out a 5 hour session yesterday to color in all the flowers/petals and some background shading. Stood up to take final photos and nearly passed out. The lower back is BRUTAL and apparently back dimples are incredibly nerve rich because those had me gasping. So glad to be done with this. I’m wondering though, if I found this to be such an incredibly painful process, can I handle having my legs done? I’ll do my other sleeve first and then probably start leg work. I feel both badass and weak! Either way I’m in love with it.
 

Armpit adjacent. That little crease off the side of your chest, right before it becomes the actual armpit. That was a very tough spot for me.

26 hours down with one session left! Spent the last session doing background shading and the whole branch. The lovehandle area had me almost tapping and *almost* in tears. A very special kind of searing pain 🌶

Ok, it's been way too long - but I'm finally booked (in November) for some new work. Tine Defiore!

I’m going to 100% stick to my earlier comments. I’ll also add that you had multiple opportunities based on what you are saying to back out before the needle touched your skin. If you were that anxious before the tattoo why would you go through with it? Nobody forced you to go through with it. A lost deposit is an easier pill to swallow than a tattoo you don’t like. Feel free to reach out to other shops and see if they will finish it for you. Be prepared for some no’s, a lot of artist don’t want to touch another’s work. Maybe you should have a formal sit down interview with the next artist to see if they are good enough to tattoo you.
