  1. @bongsau Pharoahs Horses is never a bad idea :)
  2. no no no - what you need is an octopus protecting his last jar of peanut butter...
  3. These are cool little tattoos imo i dont see the issues at all i would say 'live with it' of course and i'd think long and hard before you get tattooed again because i think your expectations of what tattoos are might be a bit distorted good luck though whatever path you choose
  4. got a chest tattoo from chad - it didnt hurt more than any other tattoo i have gotten except my ribs - ooh the ribs
  5. @Synesthesia have you ever seen the amazing female pharaohs chestpiece in the chestpiece thread here - its amazing - worth a search
  6. does it get better than this! great tattoo tough spot
  7. my first ever tattoo I got about 7-8 years ago - its covered now - basically i went to a local shop - got a small tattoo of plankton (yes from spongebob) which promptly became infected - skin fell off - scars were established - it was then covered by this Bob Marley tattoo - which was later chewed on by a pitbull (whole nother thread there) - anyway - my tattoo selection process has changed since then - and I dont think i'd ever get another coverup - anyway...
  8. go to the artist who did your roses is one idea
  9. i'd resist the urge for a touch up - to me a one off is just that - a marker in time - thats just me though
  10. if it were me - i'd keep an eye on this guy: http://instagram.com/julianbast also this shop http://instagram.com/absolutearttattoo you can check the interview section too to listen to Mike Rennie and Brian Bruno from Absolute talk tattoos
  11. start local - instagram makes it super easy - i like the concepts you're thinking of - but yeah ultimately you'll be bringing those ideas to a solid tattooer who can make something you'll be proud to wear - keep having fun with the art though - some of my earlier tattoos were based on drawings i made - enjoy
  12. i mean why are you going through your day being worried about getting hit on the tattoo
  13. @Devious6 really you gotta give it 4-6 weeks before you make any real judgments on how it settles - hang in there - you've got yourself a nice tattoo
  14. your tattoo is alive brotha - its not art hanging on your skin - it is your skin - anything and everything that can and will damage you - like living - can also have the same impact on your tattoo - stop thinking so hard - live your life and enjoy this shit
  15. haha what i meant was that the latest tattoo lowdown is really what its all about - people getting tattooed and showing those tattoos off - like if this forum could only have one thread - this would be it :) i think i was deep in the ipa's when i posted that though so i understand it sounds like a confusing post :)
  16. the lowdown...do we really need another thread? cool tattoos people!
  17. i'm a month in on my last tattoo on my forearm - slow heal - but what makes it harder is its just there staring at me all day - forearm tattoos are just the worst like that - meanwhile - the one i got on my stomach basically healed right away - hardly peeled - forearms i think - especially a 45 year old forearm - that skin is just beat up from years of sun exposure etc - so i think it just takes longer with certain types of skin on your body
  18. there are so many cool threads here about tattoos - so much to sink your teeth into - and people want to come on and hyper focus on their feelings being hurt - its just not what this place is about - and for real - nobody gets slammed here - i'll be the first to tell you i love 99% of peoples tattoos - i may not prefer them on me - but you're not gonna catch heat for a tattoo not being my style of tattoo - but yeah - people coming here wanting to beat this dead horse of the forum members being rude - please - go away and stay away
  19. no worries @Devious6 most of my tattoos scab - once in awhile i've been lucky to not scab - to me - i'm convinced its about location on the body - best thing is to let them be and they'll fall off on there own - usually by end of 2nd week the scabs are pretty much gone - i'm a dry healer mostly - sometimes some lubriderm but not much at all - you'll be all good
  20. @mmmsarah to me this is a part of the problem - this is not how to contribute - to jump on threads like this and pick at the bullshit - this is not contributing in my opinion - this is just trying to start shit - remember what it says on the home page: this is not the place for the easily offended folks - you come here - you're gonna get alot of help and guidance - if you are ready for it - if you are just fishing for validation of your dumb idea - move along next forum please
  21. @polliwog i hate healing tattoos - love the lived in look - looking forward to a little hiatus from getting tattooed mainly because I hate always healing something - anyway prob wont be that long of a hiatus - I'm thinking nothing else till at least the new year though edit: ah who am I kidding I'm just broke
