  1. I love this. (Non tattooed) people ask me how I will feel about my tattoos when I'm 60. This thread is the perfect answer. When I'm 60 il just get more tattoos.
  2. here is the finished tattoo. Still looks swollen. [/img]
  3. It's all done and I love it. What a great piece to my collection. And a chest piece is finally of the bucket list. I will post a pic tomorrow but tonight I'm enjoying my bruised and still very painful tattoo with a scotch.
  4. Just having a break now. I almost forgot how much a chest tattoo hurts. An hour to go.
  5. Going in to finish it in about 30 min. Finally
  6. for me the chest was very painful. I had to tap out after 4.5 hours. Definitely not my favorite spot to get tattooed. But its all worth it in the end.
  7. I just had a big chest piece done. For me easily the most painful spot so far. After 4 hours I had to tap out.
  8. today i got my first session done for my lion chest piece. I love it so far. Probable gonna introduce a slight bit of color and the lion manes are going to get shaded in darker. I gotta say, i have 2 full arm sleeves but the chest was by far more painful. Definitely no walk in the park. I was literately dizzy after 4 hours of tattooing and felt so burned out i could drop on the floor to sleep. Il be glad when this piece is done. [/img]
  9. I always wonder how the ankle or foot heals since it's always in motion and usually covered during the day
  10. Yes I'm very happy with how it came out. Amazing detail work
  11. Yes the octopus is growing on me. Complying the sleeve makes a difference as well. The tentacles on the forearm still bug me tho. I will wear it for a while and see if i start to like it eventually.
  12. Here are the pics of the first session today. 6 hours of pain. Loving it.
  13. Working on a shark and eel combination. Pretty stoked. Wednesday going to see the drawing and if all good I'm going for it. Can't wait to complete this sleeve
  14. I had those as well with my left sleeve. On my right sleeve I used a beard trimmer first to get it really short. And then I used the razor blade. Didn't have any ingrown hairs at all. And I've got pretty hairy arms. Seems to me this was the solution for me.
  15. Love this tattoo. Great combo with the snake
  16. Yes I get what your saying. I will definitely let the tattoo heal before I extend it. I'm working on a small chest piece and il focus on that for now. I still want a shark on this arm tho. But il do this after the summer because maybe I'm rushing this again. And adding something I like to this tattoo might take away my focus on the tattoo I'm still not 100 percent happy with. It's in my nature to fix or adjust what bothers me ASAP. Great quality to have on the job in construction but maybe not for my tattoos. Thanks for the ideas and advice.
  17. Oh stop it. I've got an entire left arm sleeve top to bottom which I love. Yes I wasn't sure about the octopus tattoo but I think that's my prerogative. It happens! Doesn't make me a douche. I do understand the advice to wait with continuing this tattoo. But I won't laser it off so why not continue it. I paid him already for a sketch so il see what happens. Doesn't mean I will get it tattooed next week.
  18. Why leave it alone? I want to extend it. Don't worry I'm working on other places for a tattoo as well
  19. Yes I know. It's just that the artist mentioned it would need something else to go with the shark. Something to add colour to it. I already have peonies on one arm and anemones on the other. So I'm looking for some small things to add to the shark.
  20. Or maybe a couple of sea snakes wrapped around the shark in the colours of the banded sea snake. Venomous bastards. It would go great with the tentacles with the octopus. What ya think?
