After Billy Eason's passing, the Richmond Tattoo Arts Festival is being carried on by Nate Drew and Flaco Productions (of the SLC tattoo Convention.) The date has been set for November 19th thru the 21st, 2011. The location has been moved to the heart of downtown Richmond. The list of attendees is more than most would shake a stick at. www.portlandtattooexpo.com/home Oct 7-9 will be the third annual Portland Tattoo Expo in Portland Oregon. Basically I am looking to see if there are any other shops that plan to attend this year or if anyone has any recommendations for any out of town artists listed above. Last year I feel like I missed out, my wife was 9 months pregnant and even though I drug her there I couldn't convince her to let me get tattooed so hopefully it works out this year and I come home with more than some shirts and prints.

I have seen/heard some amazing tattoos, stories, what-have-yous over the years of this convention but am yet to make it. My sister will be out that way filming a movie for a few months so I am trying to see if the dates line up between that, work, and school so I can maybe attend. Anyone going? I saw some LSTers on the list which is an amazing list of tattooers and tattoo shops. So I have never been to the London convention, but know, that as far as artists are concerned, it is invitation only, so I am wondering how it is set up? My wife wants to go for the full three days and just watch as many artists as possible, for as long as possible. Is this going to piss people off, how long is to long to be watching someone tattoo? If she politely asks if they mind her watching will she get told to jump, how should she approach this?

whose going?? really stoked!! i will be tattooing at the ink health booth that weekend...pretty nervous also...alot of people are going to be tattooing there that i have looked up to/admired since i started tattooing...looking foward to meeting new faces and "heroes" so to speak

The annual tattoo and kustom culture festival, Ink-N-Iron, in Long Beach, CA will be held June 10 to 12, 2011. Below is a bunch of info on the event. Who's going and who is tattooing? If you are tattooing how is it best for people to make appointments with you? The band list so far is: Paladins The Sonic Buzzcocks Detroit Cobras Pole Cats Anti Flag Skatalites Fishbone For those wanting the history of this awesome event here it is: The car show part is hosted by Cavaliers Car Club and from what I've heard it is pretty impressive from hotrods to customs as the cars are picked to be a part of it. When Roger Miret (Rumblers CC, Agnostic Front, Roger Miret & The Disasters) was in town and we were at dinner he was saying his new custom may be debuted at this show. His new project that he is/has been working on is pretty sick. The last pictures he showed me were pre paint but his ideas on the paint job sound pretty impressive. Hi - im new here, but i figured as i was going to make this thread there wasnt much point in making another to introduce myself. Im 18, and just moved to a new country (huge change in my short life) and away from my parents, who have been my biggest supporters in everything ive ever done, and have always been there for me, so i thought i might get a tattoo to remember them. As i said in the title this will be my first real tattoo, i was pretty stupid and got a tattoo from a homemade gun a while ago, came out terribly but ill get it fixed eventually (i know, im an idiot, try not to make fun of me for that) anyway this is a really rough sketch i did, im absolutely un-artistic, so dont laugh, its just a basic idea. I want the ying yang part because my parents are polar opposits, but they work so well together, and 20+ years on i think they're still in love. The koi fish was just a way to represent each of them, one fish is going to be a more masculine blue, while the other is a more femanine orange or something along those lines. Hopefully ill find a good artist to take my idea and make an amazing peice of art out of it, and make it into a half sleeve. So what do you think? Good idea, bad idea? just worked the jet city convention this past weekend...best one i have been to/worked..hands down...no annoying bands or freak side show performers..music wasnt so loud that you couldnt talk to people...got to tattoo a mentor of mine from the shop i apprenticed at..made alot of new friends...had an old timer collector talk to me and a friend for a hour about his tattoos...covered neck to foot..solid...no skin left...saw some bert grimm tattoos, zeke owen, sailor jerry..so badass..saw some sailor jerry purple on him that had been there forever..still looked sweet as hell..such a rad guy.

I'm gonna be doing this show for the third time. They have apparently moved it to the v&a waterfront this year. The past two years have been rad. There is something about Africa that is quite engaging, even though I don't think cape town is a good basis for the rest of Africa. It is the 28, 29 , 30 th.

While looking around Stewart Robson's badass tattoo blog I discovered this as well, 4th Brighton Tattoo Convention January 29th and 30th, 2011. Who's going? I saw this upcoming 2011 SLC International Tattoo Convention February 18-20, 2001 website after twittering with @dansmithunknown when he posted his new painting for the Tarot Card Art Show. Below in "quotes" is the list of tattooers and tattoo shops from the site where I see many LSTers! We look forward to hearing about the show and seeing some pictures and maybe even some blogs anyone?
