Hey All, I have a tattoo of a bull on my upper arm that is about 13 yrs. old, but holding up quite well. The lines are still nice and clean but it is a bit faded. I was thinking about filling up the rest of my upper arm (shoulder to shirt line) with storm clouds, swirls, stars and 3 other zodiac symbols BUT using the existing bull as sort of the central element. I am hoping to get some opinions on whether or not it is a good idea to use this older tattoo as a central element. Thanks!

Could I suggest that some form of verification for new members would be a good idea. It is so easy to register, in my experience spammers will be in by the dozen any minute.

Hi, name's Dominic and i'm from Singapore. Been lurking on this site for awhile now. I lurk on other tattoo forums as well, this one seems to be my favorite though. I have two tattoos currently in b/w. The word family across my chest and a day of the dead girl on sternum down to my diaphragm. Unfortunately, the words across my chest was not done as well as it should've however i've learned my mistake and i've been going to a different artist. I will be starting my sleeve end of this month, will hopefully post up pictures along the way and share my experience, though most of you are already heavily tattooed. Here's the link of the artist who is going to do my sleeve if any of you are interested. thINK Tattoo

I posted this on another site but thought I'd ask here, also. I'm looking for opinions on which artist (or both) would be better suited to do an owl tattoo for me in a similar style to the tattoo picture I've attached below. I'm including the tattoo pic mainly for style reference and also including links to the two artist's (Oleg, Bez) galleries. Thanks for your time. ( I really love this style of exaggerated realism with color) Oleg's portfolio: Oleg Turyanskiy : Tattoos : Page 1 Bez's portfolio: Tattoos - Bez - Heart Tattoo So, I want a realistic owl similar in style and color to the tattoo picture above and wondering if either Oleg or Bez would be better suited or if it really matters. They are obviously both amazing artists but with different styles and I'm not sure if it would really matter which one I should pursue. Both artists have expressed interest in doing the piece next fall, one at a convention and the other at a shop guest spot. Thoughts, please?

Hi, I'm a new member here but not new to tattoos or forums so I hope I can contribute a little. I'm a tattoo collector from CT and I look forward to seeing what's happening around this place. When I get a chance I'll create a gallery of my tattoos and then I think a couple of people might recognize them from another forum although under a different name. I actually got curious about this place from someone posting links on another board. Wedge

My name is Dave Lang and I am from Juneau, Alaska. I tattoo at a shop called High Tide Tattoo and have been tattooing nine (shit... nine?) years. I learned to tattoo at Tiki Tattoo in Lacey, Washington and since then have had the pleasure of working at House of Tattoo in Tacoma and Lit Fuse Tattoo in Olympia before returning to Alaska. I make paintings and flash now and then. Thank you

So the other thread on Best Post Tattoo Care has been very insightful and lots of good advice form both tattooers and tattoo collectors.....So I am wondering what is the number one advice you give your customers for tattoo care? Or maybe rather what is the one thing you want your tattoo customers to remember? The whole experience can be very stimulating and exhausting all in one and often important information is in one ear out the other as the body and mind is overwhelmed so would like to hear the tattooers opinions on this one. Thanks!

What do you like to listen to when you get tacked, or are tattooing? I'm into some slow sleepy metal. I dunno why, it's not my genre of choice usually, but it somehow just makes sense around tattoos... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XWHplp10kQM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GdKZVN_1V3I http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6ICzXDyEt0k http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9_45E4xknkc

whatup all, this place looks solid. i'm not very good @ introductions because i don't really like to talk about myself. but i suppose the relevant facts are that i'm new here, living in northern cali, and a tattoo geek. i've collected about 80 hours of work so far, with pieces from the likes of tim kern, bob tyrrell, erin chance, seth wood, gunnar, jesse smith, josh duffy, and joshua carlton. and, umm, i don't plan to stop anytime soon. :) i look fwd to both learning and contributing on here. peas, j (edit: oops, didn't see the intro section. mods, feel free to move.)

How did/do you choose a tattoo(s)? Is there a meaning to your decision? Is there always a meaning to the tattoo(s) you get? What was the deciding factor in you putting a thought, event, etc on your body? Pls share a picture!

Good afternoon everyone. I know some people have taken advantage of this section on the forum but many haven't so wanted to send a plug to feel free to post in here so people in your town and/or traveling through know where they can get tattooed or come buy some merch. Here is the small print on the front of this section of how it works: Thanks for being so active on LST and until next time..... Lochlan
