  5. Hi! Does anyone know, where can I buy rehearsal-skin for tattooing from Berlin? From internet only or does some studios etc. sell them?
  6. I hope this is the right place to post this. i wanna have my first prints ever made for the houston body art expo in september. im curious to know a few things. 1. best paper to use. 2. best sight to order from. 3. is there a particular format i need to know beacuse i checked got print.com and there was to no format for tattoo prints for sale at conventions haha! please any help would be beneficial. P.s. at got print.com i did get 5000 double sided gloss cards for 50 bucks plus shipping. not fuckin bad!!
  7. Hi has anyone seen or used a product called needle runners? They are getting some good reviews from some good artists.
  8. I remember bringing this up years ago in the Starlight Tattoo Forum. The general consensus was that the customer(and many tattoo artists who simply buy and don't mix themselves) have no right to know. Any opinions as the whether this is ethically right? As a someone who simply buys, I have no clue as to what is in the pigments I use. One time I went to my colleges chemistry lab and inquired about an analysis of pigments I had, but they said they didn't have the time or resources to do so. This wouldn't have been necessary if it simply was stated, as is pretty much every other commercially available product. Obviously the customer doesn't need to know recipes for mixing, but knowing what chemicals are being permanantly injected into ones body, in my opinion, is not something I should have no knowledge about.
  9. So I think I'm in the clear for asking this question... at least I hope since Im not asking for anything application related... but I was wondering what everyone uses to carry their gear in when traveling? I've been looking at the huge pelican cases but wanted to know if there is anything better I should be looking at? Thanks. if somehow i crossed a line with someone by asking this... then sorry.
  10. what's your tought about using them? i used it a couple of tims when it was about time to color the tattoos on my ribs.
  11. Something I've been mulling over for years, and after watching that interview with Bryan Burk ,kinda solidified it, but how important is it for you to know exactly where your supplies come from. Really trying to gauge this as how much effort is worth it to be honest with ourselves about who we get needles, ink, grips, even something as simple as grommets from? I know on a personal level who I've bought machines from, and I pretty much only use pigment I've made, someone I work with has made, or Waverly , whom is run by a amn I call a good friend( and Bill's stuff is the best, I've been in his 'lab' and it's top- notch). But I've stopped making needles these past two-three years. Spent a couple bucks and ordered them directly from the factory in China that makes EVERYBODIES needles..Simple things like that. I can buy a 24$ "Eikon style" power supply, but do I ( We?) really want to support that, and in a sense, "cheapen" what we do? Should we all stop being so lazy, and try and rekindle that DIY spirit that tattooings all about? Also, if anyone wants to offer up venues to recommend where someone can buy supplies made for tattooers, by tattooers..that would be appreciated.

    Howdy

Hi everybody! My name is Bill. I tattoo in Baltimore and I make colors for sale to the trade. ( Hence, my screen name is Waverly.) I've met a few of you before and I look forward to meeting more of you soon!
  13. Hey guys, i am excited to finally present to you a product i have been helping develope for the past 6 months! Here is the email i am sending out to shops and artists to get the word out. i have been testing these for the past few months now and they work awesome! If you are interested please get ahold of me and let me know. I will be able to send out samples after the 1st of February. The purpose of this email is to introduce you to Ink Health (Ink Health) and our “Custom Tattoo Bandages” and services. We are the leading “Custom Tattoo Bandage” company in the United States. We align ourselves with the finest Tattoo Artists, Promoters, Shop Owners, and Distributers as partners to assist them with their “brand” recognition. Though the use of our custom bandages (put your LOGO, Design, Contact Information, Date and Time to Remove on a Transparent Polyurethane, Non-Allergic, Water Resistant, 100% Sterile, Surgical grade bandage). No more tape and Saran Wrap (i.e., nobody wants waded up Saran Wrap and tape hanging on their body with blood, lymph and tattoo ink pooled up 10 minutes after they get tattooed), rather you provide your client a healthy, securely fitted and clean bandage that says our “brand” is the BEST! I am certain that you would agree with me that cross contamination is a real concern in our industry. The cost of providing your client a safe and healthy bandage that addresses this is priceless. We encourage our clients to roll the initial cost of the bandage into the price of the tattoo (i.e., the client pays for the bandage) and the cost of the bandages are 100% deductible as a business expense. We look forward to partnering with you to develop a bandage for you or your shop. Let us put all your information, LOGO, Design, Color, Font on a bandage for you to use on your clients. We guarantee that this will “brand” you and your shop as something very special. You will have a walking talking billboard . Our reputation for service is second to none; our entire staff stands to work with you and your staff to develop your “100% Customizable Bandage.” Please contact me at your earliest convenience should you have any questions 509-939-9993 ©. 14. okay, so, first off...i'm not sure if this is the place to ask this on here or not, so somebody let me know, haha. I'm considering getting a Northeast shader frame to do a build on...does anybody have an opinion on these frames? Good? Bad? I'm assuming the brass ones are pretty hefty... And what happened to Paulo Fernando frames? I built on a few and really liked em...now poof! I cannot yet make frames...and really enjoy doing builds. Cheers!

  18. Good afternoon everyone. I know some people have taken advantage of this section on the forum but many haven't so wanted to send a plug to feel free to post in here so people in your town and/or traveling through know where they can get tattooed or come buy some merch. Here is the small print on the front of this section of how it works: Thanks for being so active on LST and until next time..... Lochlan
