hi,
we let the customer choose the tattooer by the portofolio either but i think a lot of people dont really see what matters. i think "artistical uneducated" people sometimes cant really judge if the tattooer can really do "their" tattoo. i let our shopguys guide the customer to the right tattooer without really recommend anybody.
i think in a busy shop with serveral tattooers you always have unsatisfied customers, and i totally agree with bart that some people dont know what a tattoo really is and should not get tattooed. these people will be unhappy either way.
if something like that happens in my shop i talk to the tattooer, the customer and take a look at the tattoo to judge who made a mistake at first.
i think the tattooer has the biggest responsibility, because he should consider to pass the customer to another artist if he is not sure if he can do the right job

I have a few band tattoos, mostly punk / hardcore related.
I have Judge hammers in a shield carried by a green and purple eagle done by Seth Wood.
Coffin with a stake in it and a banner that says FVK (Bad Brains).
I have my dog with crossbones underneath it that says Its The Limit (Cro-Mags).
Gimme Shelter in script on my wrist (Stones).
A panda bear holding a coke bottle in each hand that says "Coca-Cola we dont drink no booze" (Last Rights).
A sheep head with banners that say "Out of step with the world" by Grez.
Bob Marley's head with wings floating around a winged lion done by Chad Koeplinger.
A couple other Bad Brains inspired "lightning striking" pieces.

hi,
i got a lot of lasering over the last years and i treated the lasered tattoo pretty much as i treat new tattoos. i left the bandage on until the next day. i always had a lot of pimples full of water which opened by just touching the tshirt. pretty disgusting, but as soon as the pimples all dryed it healed like a tattoo. i never had itching.
i just found it VERY important to wait at least a year to retattoo the lasered skin. one time i got the outlines and black shading just 6 weeks after the last lasering and it felt very wierd, bad swelling and was painful even after the actually tattooing was done and the lines faded a little bit.
i think the skin still was releasing the pigment instead of encasing the color. one the last lasered spot i waited almost 1,5 years and it worked out much better. i can only say very good things about lasering
