Darn. Missed this convention. Maybe next year!

I just can't understand the viewpoints of some of the posts that blame the client. We professional tattooists are counted on in every respect to act PROFESSIONAL. Therefore, spending a little time and care double and triple checking the spelling of the work that you are responsible for is in my opinion, part of your job. Although we ultimately cannot be held responsible for dates and peoples names incorrectly given to us by the client, proper spelling is part of our work put out in world, which represents us. If you cannot understand this perhaps you shouldn't be tattooing.

Wonderful! We would love to have a guest artist like this!

Ok. It's been over a month since I got the tattoo now. It's not bugging me as much but it still hasn't peeled.
I took the picture in sunlight so maybe that's why it looks sparkly/dry. However, it doesn't feel dry.
So how's it looking now?

Hello. Yah I would just go to a more qualified artist and get it relined. Looks like the original artist didn't stretch properly when he did the line work or wasn't skilled or confident with the long lines. I hope I'm not offending you when I say I'm not jazzed about the eye. I'd say if you are happy with it then leave the tattoo be, but if not then go get it relined. Even professionals have a bad day and we aren't robots so try not to think too badly about the original artist. It wouldnt do to be negative anyway. Gosh I sound like a mom. Lol

Hello all. My name is Jeanine from Lady Luck Tattoo in Portland Oregon. I have been professionally tattooing since July 2001 but worked at tattoo shop since 1994. I had a formal apprenticeship that started in 1999 from Lyon King of 21st Century in Portland. Mad Marcii and I formed Lady Luck Tattoo in the fall of 2002. We run a traditional street shop on Se Morrison st. Thanks and stop by and check us out if you're in the neighborhood! J9

Hey Jeff, greetings from Portland. I just joined this website (late in the game I know). I hope Peru is fun and enriching for you two. I'm not sure you remember me, but I co-own lady luck tattoo here with mad marcii. Before 2002 we both worked at 21st century. Just wanted to say hello and wish you happy tattooing in Peru! Jeanine
Most painful spot to get tattooed

As an artist, I've noticed the places people complain about the most are the ribs, the stomach, the inside wrist, and the feet. Those are the common areas. However, everyone's pain tolerance is different.
