  1. @gougetheeyes Was your friend in the US at the time of the comments? I expect a few uninformed people here in the US to think it is Nazi related. I would think in Germany they would know the difference as the black eagle is still a national symbol there. Haha, no I don't want to get neck to waist. I was planning to get it on one of my shoulder blades. Thank you for the advice. - - - Updated - - - @punkpin Thank you. Most of the black eagle tattoos I see online are white supremacist or neo-nazi related, which is really a shame. I was planning on getting it on one of my shoulder blades, probably the left. - - - Updated - - - @Mark Bee Alright, thank you! - - - Updated - - - @Joe Shit I definitely plan to look at a lot of different tattoo artists' work before I get it done. I also need to save the money, so this isn't going to be a spontaneous thing. I don't know how I feel about coloring it. I like it on the flag, but it just think it would look better in black on me. I feel like it would bother me having that small amount of color. I have some time to think it over, though. Maybe I'll have a friend draw it on me both ways to see which I like better :)
  2. Hello. I'm lostvaletines. I'm new to tattoos in general. I've been wanting one for a long time (currently 22yrs old) but haven't been able to find or draw anything I want on my body forever until recently. So, I would like to get the Kingdom of Prussia eagle. This is what it looks like http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/b/b9/Flag_of_Prussia_1892-1918.svg I would get it done in all black as I am very pale and love the contrast that would have. I know it would be beautiful. I know it isn't really something a lot of people would know about, but my concern is that they may mistake it for the eagle used by the Nazi party (google it if you don't know what it looks like). Also a concern is that I plan to travel to the germany/austria area in the next few years and I don't know if it would go over well (even if they recognize it as Prussian). Yeah, so I would love everyone's opinions/comments about this. Any questions, just ask.
