  1. Tattooed guys talking about how they don't like tattooed women give me the douche chills.

What? I didn't watch the video. I love tattooed women, and guys who don't like them. More for me. Well, not really but you know what I mean.

I had someone tell me that this girl was ugly because she has a tiny tattoo. morons

I posted the video as a public service.:p

  2. Ten years or so ago, we had lots of problems with the straight edge crowd. Without painting with a broad brush, SE kids were constantly starting fights and pretty much known for being a bunch of violent little dicks. They could have benifitted from a drink or a joint, or something to get them to calm down. It got bad enough that we bared them from venues and stopped booking bands that appealed to that group, because they drove everyone away.

That being said I haven't heard much about the whole straight edge thing in years.

  3. Sounds pretty :) I love those pieces that are composed ahead of time

It is, I find myself staring at it all the time. She has a few more hours of color to go. I posted it on the Oct. tattoo of the month thread if you'd like to check it out.

  4. What's she got so far??

Kore's wife did a floral and butterfly piece that goes from her knee to her calf. It's a rose, tulip, daffodil, and two butterflies. It's on the site somewhere.

  5. Thanks! Yeah' date=' I might... I do like the color. Will probably do a greyscale background to make it pop. I have 2 others I am planning too - LOL. I am going to be busy for awhile!

I keep telling my husband I am going to get a joy buzzer tattoo'ed on my palm to add a little fun to life but he says NO! ;)[/quote']

Yep your going to be busy. My wife is doing the same thing you are, filling one leg up completely.

  6. Wow far drive!! Will you be making that again to go see him? Did you make that travel to see a specific artist? Definitely get more sleep next time! I always get super nervous right before but as soon as the first line starts I'm better. Major butterflies. I made headway last time and when my artist asked if I was ready I said "yes" instead of "no"... lol

I am going on vacation in 9 days so I am healing up now. Then when I get back I am going to pop in and try to schedule something about a week out. I have a small space left on my leg (above the pineapple) that I want to fill with a tiki. I am also planning on putting some rope around my ankle with an anchor on my foot to cover some scars (that are still healing) and also to kind of define the end of the work.

After that I am going to start above the knee but not sure if I want to keep it similar or maybe flip it and go back and grey with the knee as a transition' date=' But I am thinking of hear/speak/see no evil skulls... sugar skulls if I stay with color. I am not set on that idea yet tho.[/quote']

Yep, same drive. I traveled to have it done by Kore Flatmo. It was a great experience, and I plan on having him do my future work too,

I love the ideas you have, personally I would say stick with color. Everything is nice and bright and really flows together. You got to keep that going IMO.

  7. Can't wait to see it finished! :) Do you know approx how long it will take to shade?? It's funny... some of my pieces I wanted to sit there longer (it was a fun night in the shop and wasn't very painful) and others I couldn't wait til they were done... but I've not done over 3 hours yet.

He's thinking another 3 1/2-4 hours. I did pretty well for the first 3 1/2 hours, but it got pretty uncomfortable past that point. It didn't help that I slept about a hour and a half the night before. It's my first tattoo, and I was so nervous I really psyched myself out. Throw a 3 1/2 hour drive on top of that and I was not in the best frame of mind at the time.

When are you starting your next piece? Any ideas yet in the subject?

  8. Thank you! Yeah my tattoo artist said he had definitely never seen Paisley in color before (he originally thought when I said color I meant the outline)... it was really fun filling that in together. I used a henna type pattern as a guide and we inverted some of the darks with lights. I know not every line is perfectly straight... but I am ok with that as tattoo'ing is a hand drawn artform and not like screenprinting.

hah - yup lighthearted... I'm a girl' date=' after all. I do love looking at the other styles and the bad@$$ skulls and horror pieces... but I definitely couldn't pull it off (and wouldn't want to try).

I like the dragon you have... is it done or are you filling it in?

I am planning on a half+ sleeve when I finish my leg... but one that is all one piece.[/quote']

Thanks, I go back on three weeks to finish the shading and start color. I'm already thinking about what to do on the other side to balance me out.

  9. haha well I feel old when I am on those things now. It's just I end up with headaches. We have Busch Gardens in our backyard now and they have some nice coasters. I love Milennium... because it's a souped up and smoothed over version of my prior favorite... Magnum!

Thank you!! I am still undecided if the newer one has too many skinbreaks... but thinking that might make it pop more when the background is filled in.

I forgot the paisley stuff. I don't think I've ever seen paisley as a tattoo before. Very cool. All of your work is really fun and light hearted. Even though there might be little things you don't love, it all goes together very well.

  10. Awesome!!! Unfortunately... I am getting to the point where I don't like being shaken around as much - LOL. Feeling old but oh well. The last *new* one I did was Top Thrill Dragster... man that was scary. I only got in line because it had jsut come up after a breakdown so the line was SHORT (and it took hours to get through it usually)... I didn't have time to chicken out.

Lol, you're only as old as you feel. Top Thrill and Millennium Force are my favorites. We bought this Fast Pass deal this year. It basically lets you go right to the front of the line. We rode we rode TTD five times. We rode everything in the park multiple times and were home by 7 pm. It was the best $30 I've ever spent.

I love the sugar skulls btw.

  11. Ah Gators! That's where my boss's daughter went and where my coworker's daughter goes now :)

    :)

Yep, I had a lot of fun there. I'm not sure why I moved back up here, especially since its 31 degrees right now.

Cedar Point has been on a roll lately. All of the new coasters have been great over the last few years. They are building a crazy one this year, it's supposed to simulate flying.

  12. How did they convince Mike Rubendall to show his face?

In the US of A, it basically goes Trevino, Rubendall, O'Donnell, Long, Bruno (my opinion, i know) in regards to Japanese tattooing.

    FUCK!

Thats a good question. I didnt like a single thing those people did. As soon as they said Japanese I knew they were screwed.
