  2. My wife also loves our dog very much. Our dog is a major part of our life, he pretty much influenced us to better ourselves. For my wife, our dog got her to start running. They run 5-8 miles a a day together and my wife now runs marathons. So what we did was buy an ink pad and took our rottweilers paw print. She then had a 26.2 inscribed in the middle of it which is what a marathon length is. Here is a picture, it was done by Erik Gillespie. He did an amazing job, looks exactly like the paw print we gave to him. Sent from my LG-E980 using Tapatalk 2
  3. Hi Harry, Thanks for the kind words. I was put off quite a bit on my first thread, i almost deleted my account. But I stepped back and tried to learn why everyone had such a strong response. I started reading old threads and really informed myself. I really was "ignorant" to the entire tattoo world before coming here. I am so glad I didn't leave and that so many people took the time to answer my questions via Pm as well. People looked at potential artists and taught me why some were better than others. I am completely grateful for this. Not only did I get great advice that helped me, my wife benefitted as well cause she used Great Lakes Tattoo as well. Once again, thanks to everyone and Merry Christmas! Sent from my LG-E980 using Tapatalk 2

  10. Have my fourth and final session with Nick Colella at Great Lakes Tattoo this Thursday. I am excited to see the background filler put in. I have one in mind but also will ask his advice/opinion on which way to go. Thanks to everyone here who took the time out to teach me what a good tattoo and better yet what a good artist is. I was fortunate to stumble across the forum and I have tried to be a sponge with all the information. Thanks Sent from my LG-E980 using Tapatalk 2

  12. Thanks guys. Couldn't sleep last night. I kept looking at it and thinking I should of used the tegaderm like I planned. I go back for filler on the 19th so if any touch ups are needed I can do it then. Looks like I will use tegaderm from here on out to prevent this mess. I still have no idea why I scabbed so terribly when the other 5 remained smooth and just have peeled with no scabbing. I am keeping my fingers crossed cause right now it looks like everything is mush. Sent from my KFTT using Tapatalk HD
  13. Hi guys. So I didn't do the tegaderm and now I am a bit worried. I didn't really scab at all on 5 out of the 6 tattoos. My new Rose scabbed completely over. I am worried the color is out in the leaves a bit but the scab came off on its own 1-2 days ago so it's still cloudy. Also on the third picture I centered the area of concern, there are 2 scabs connected by what looks like a recessed valley. It appears that the scab is lower than the height of my skin, so I am worried there too. When I move my arm around, the rose is still sore but I think it's pulling on scabs on the skin when I twist my arm or out stretch it. I am on day 8. Any ideas or words of encouragement? 14. I did discuss it and he said I healed well and shouldn't proceed with tegaderm. So I am just using the light layers of unscented lotion. Looks good so far, beginning the peel today Sent from my LG-E980 using Tapatalk 2
  15. Thanks guys. I wanted to be sure to get a personal piece as well from Nick. I just asked for a rose and let him decide the rest. Best decision I made. Sent from my LG-E980 using Tapatalk 2
  16. 3rd session done with Nick Colella. We did all the color and I asked him to put a rose in. Glad I got something by Nick himself. He freehand drew it and it turned out awesome. 1 more session left for filler. Sent from my LG-E980 using Tapatalk 2
  17. Pictures didn't take, here again Sent from my LG-E980 using Tapatalk 2

  19. One last one for you. I just took of the test tegaderm after 1 hour, my arm is red. Do you get redness under? Here it is Sent from my LG-E980 using Tapatalk 2
  20. Sounds good killer. I will go pick up some aquaphor tonight at walgreens after work. I am wearing a 2 inch tegaderm now to see if I get a reaction. Thanks for all the advice Sent from my LG-E980 using Tapatalk 2
  21. OK just to be sure, the next morning, I wash the aquaphor off and dry arm. Once dry I put the tegaderm on. Sorry, I wasn't trying to change it, I just didn't want to buy aquaphor if didn't have too. Sent from my LG-E980 using Tapatalk 2
  22. Oh ok. I never used aquaphor as Nick said not too as it has petroleum in it. He said only unscented lotion. You think that will be OK? I never really ooze, I normally get home, wait three hours, shower and then apply thin coat of lotion. I was thinking I would get home, after 3 hours wash the tattoos in shower. Then I would air dry, lightly lotion. Once it air dry to where the lotion won't cause the tegaderm not to stick, maybe couple hours, I will put it on. Leave it on 3 days, and remove in shower. Sound good? Sent from my LG-E980 using Tapatalk 2
  23. I am considering the tegaderm tomorrow, I bought 10 4x4 pieces so I am prepared. Not sure how it will be with my entire half arm covered. Sent from my LG-E980 using Tapatalk 2
  24. I have 10 sheets waiting. I am not sure if I want to try yet. I am getting a half sleeve done so it's basically covering half my arm with tegaderm. I scabbed with some color pull out on the shading, color is on friday. Might as Nick his opinion and see if it may help prevent scabs. Sent from my LG-E980 using Tapatalk 2
