  1. @Rorschach, I'm curious why Rorschach and why the inkblot? Psychology major/nerd, here... If you like the meaning of the ink blot, just be aware that the concept of a projection-based test did a lot for the field whereas the actual inkblot test is useless and was abandoned a long time ago. There are other projection tests still in use, but in general they have little validity in research/diagnosis. Get what you love and do whatever floats your boat, I guess I'm just not the kind of person who would get a whole sleeve based off of a flawed and over-hyped practice. Really not trying to be an ass, just playing a little devil's advocate.

psych major here too. and maybe u wanna get a piece of a full inkblot? a part you found interesting. one of the colored ones. i think that'd look pretty cool.

    oh wow. that's gorgeous work

  2. @ian

heres a few more pics over 8 weeks since last laser treatment.

I guess I am another session or 2 away from covering IMO

damn. you took real well, real fast to the treatments!

    did you get any blistering?

I'm getting Pico treatment and my first 45 min session was last Saturday and I am dying from all the blisters and swelling right now. Lucky for me, the actual treatment wasn't bad. It's just the "side effects" *sniffle* Any advice on what to do with my blisters or how to prevent such severe ones in the future?

  3. Dang that sucks! Makes me kind of sad that a position protecting our freedoms shoe horns you into giving up some of yours.

But we do what we have to, best of luck and stay strong!

    Thanks :)

Taking this route illustrates how serious you take your future position.

    Thank you for your service

    Thank you :)

  4. UGH! that's definitely no fun! I'm working with the Pico laser. Any advice on how I may be able to prevent blisters? They're causing the most pain for me right now.

Oh man, that is sad. Well, nice to meet you. Maybe you can get her again...in a different location?

    Hi Trixie -

I dunno. The back of my neck was so perfect I can't imagine her anywhere else.

I was thinking maybe above my vagina as part of a huge stomach piece I'm working on. heehee

  5. Hi. Call me Bee and I love tattoos.

But, unfortunately to be a Navy Officer, I must get my sleeve and neck tattoo lasered off. So that's what I'm doing. I had my first session last Saturday. and it SUCKED. The blisters and the swelling is what sucks the most. The actual procedure isn't as horrific as people say.

The most ironic part of this whole process is that my neck tattoo is the Sailor Jerry's Poison flash.

I'm real nice so say Hi and see you in the forums!

    Love,

    Me

  6. Hi Guys!

I'm getting a B&G shoulder to elbow half sleeve lasered off (as well as little ones on both my wrists and a 2"x2.5" Sailor Jerry Poison flash on the back of my neck) and last Saturday was my first session. It took 45 minutes and two days later, my arm is covered in blisters, red, bruised, and swollen at least three times its size - I can't fit into the sleeves of my clothes.

My doctor (Dr. Kaplan at Celebrity Laser Spa) said I should keep it covered for about three days but my blisters prolly won't pop on its own for at least a week or two. Do I continue to put Aquaphor on it and wrap it in gauze until the blisters have popped and healed even if it's for two weeks? Do you get less blisters the further you go into the treatment (I have 11 more sessions to go)?

Thanks for your info and just to let everyone know...

So far, after my initial treatment, getting the treatment doesn't actually hurt. Dealing with the side effects is the really effing annoying part.

P.S. I'm getting worked on with the Picosure. AMAZING! the shading on my sleeve literally disappeared before my very eyes.
