  1. Hi everyone. Now it's been one month since I got my calf tattoo. All the scabbing is done (I think) but there are a couple of lines that are still like "above" the other skin. I was wondering if this part will get normal or if it won't. Should I keep on with the moisturizing cream and just wait? Thank you. post-49554-146168868038_thumb.jpg

  2. Thanks, my artist told me that the pimples near the upper part of the tattoo could be hairs trying to come out and as they can't because of the scabs they cause swelling. It makes sense, because when I shave if I don't apply the aftershave this pimples also appear. Any advice? Just not to pop them? I stopped using bacitracin and now I'm using small amounts of tattoo goo.

  4. Hi, one week ago I got another tattoo. It was swelled and red just the first two days, then the area got the scabs or the crust that it usually gets. Now, in the areas where the scabs have fallen off, the skin is swelled again, not that much but swelled. Any advice? I don't really think it's an infection, but what could it be? I'm taking ibuprofen and applying bacitracin. Thanks. post-49554-146168866622_thumb.jpg

  5. I also have ankle tattoos and it's been already 2 months and although the external layer of the skin is healed, the inner isn't. So, be patient and take care of it.

  6. @caingoza I see the wrinkly skin! It is NORMAL!!!!!!!!! Breathe and relax!!!!! Stop looking at it every five minutes and just understand that tattoos don't magically heal in 2 weeks. Sure, there is the initial peel that usually occurs within 2 weeks, then the second peel, then the settling in. YOURS IS SETTLING IN. NICELY. Relax. It is fine.

I am yelling only because I see a reflection of my own OCD in your worries, and wish that someone would yell at me when I am obsessing over details that are normal parts of the healing process.

by the way- go get more tattoos. That one looks lonely.

Hahaha I get it now, I think that all my life I've been obsessive with this kind of things. Thank you so much and yes, this coming Saturday I'm going to get another tattoo ;)

  7. Can anyone tell me if this is normal? I got this tattoo like one month ago, and even though the external layer of the skin is ok (when you touch it you don´t feel anything) they are like wrinky weird spots beneath this layer. Any advices? my tattoo artist told me that ankles could take longer healing and that as long as I keep moisturizing it, I shouldn´t worry. Ps: I think my skin has a slow healing process, just by looking how long it takes to heal when I cut or something else. Thank You all :)1979471_10202557925603009_2042204150_n.jpg?oh=9e56bb65405e1dcd78317ca01812a2c8&oe=5338F685&__gda__=1396227626_19e41c074c3956c0e4cac0b762208355

  8. Waxy wrinkled looking skin is what it looks like after it peels. It takes around 30-45 days for your skin to look normal after the tattoo.

Thanks for answering my question, but is it 30 to 45 days after the skin peeled or after I got the tattoo? Because I got this tattoo like one month ago and still my skin looks like this.

  10. Hi everyone, im from Bogota (Colombia) and so far I have 2 tattoos in my two ankles (external zone), right now i´m planning to tattoo my lower leg again. Although I got my first tattoo like one month ago and when you touch it you feel as it is healed, when you look it with attention, you can notice weird like wrikled zones. Can anyone tell me if this is normal? My artist told me that perhaps my skin heals slower than the average, and that he (himself) have had this same issues a couple of times. Right now I just apply moist cream on it twice a day, after cleaning it. Take into account that actually it´s normal the external layer of the skin, because when you touch it, you feel nothing. Thank you all.
