So I have a Polynesian Tattoo that I really like that I got in Hawaii (total tourist tattoo), but I just picked it out of a book of flash (bad form) and although the tattoo has great meaning to me since my wife and I got tattoos together, it isn't terribly meaningful in terms of the art that I chose since I was then and am still pretty ignorant of all the different meanings for Polynesian tattoo designs. I really want to get more done and finish my upper body, but don't want to just cover myself in flash art that came out of a book Living in the Oakland/East Bay area, I have found that there is no shortage of seriously talented tattoo artist out there, but I am having trouble finding someone that can actually design a tattoo for me based on what I want it to mean to me. Can someone recommend an artist to do the design work that is really versed in the meanings of different "island" designs? Thanks Jake
