  1. Interesting thread :) I have OCD, so I have to be balanced. I got the angel on outside of lower left leg to balance the demon on the right. Even though they have separate meanings, still have to be balanced. In relation to planning tattoos, yes, all mine are planned and the placement. At the moment, I'm working on getting legs finished. Planning on half sleeves though I think we (me and my tattooist) both know it will eventually be full sleeve, back will be Giger, left ribs will be another memory tattoo to balance the one on right ribs. I know what I want done on stomach and bit under bra, know what I want on top of boobs (bit that can be seen while wearing bra), some of my dresses/tops are low cut so why not? Also have idea of what want done under bra strap on shoulder down. And then all filled. No plans for neck or hands, as work wouldn't allow, but wouldn't rule it out. When I first started getting tattooed 15 years ago, I didn't think I'd have as much coverage that I do do. I've also had more people say that I've changed their views of heavily tattooed people and I've inspired a few to start their tattoo journey :)
  2. I have never re-wrapped, but then again none of my tattooists have told me too. My current tattooist, the one am sticking with, doesn't mention to me how to care for it lol If in doubt ask your tattooist. The ones on my arms, I covered with a light dressing, to stop me scratching in sleep at night, but I consider re-wrapping, using cling film. I do however tape the bottom of my pj leg to my ankle, to stop me scratching in sleep at night. Also clean sheets on bed before going to sleep after fresh tattoo, and as I said follow your tattooist's aftercare. Agree with the ones that mentioned bepanthen, I swear by the stuff.
  3. @Jynarik really? I don't think it "sucks" as you put it, yes it's not ideal to go back to get a tattoo finished, or being left with an unfinished tattoo for a couple of months but at the end of it you have (should have) a beautiful piece of art. Maybe you don't enjoy the experience of getting tattooed?
  4. Thank you :) Yes, love black and grey myself, and getting tattooed again this year was important to me and they have (like most of mine) a deep meaning to me :) I'm looking forward to next week, been a long 2 months!
  5. Thank you :D - - - Updated - - - And from this year... Right lower leg, below the knee. Demon and Girl Japanese Mask with Snowflakes and Spiderwebs How he merged the Mask with the Demon and existing ankle tattoo And finally Angel Tyrael from Diablo... 7. I've told I'm not the best person to ask in regards to pain and tattoos. Nearly fell asleep getting ribs done, same with hip. I laughed so much getting tops of feet and inside ankle tattooed, the respective tattooists called me "crazy Irish". More recently fell asleep (properly asleep, tattooist has to wake me), when got tattooed on left lower leg (below the knee). Before that I dozed when got the right one done. The other tattooists said there was something psychologically wrong with me. I just smiled and said thank you. I find getting tattooed relaxing, especially on my legs, and it does make me sleepy. My tattooist doesn't mind me sleeping so it's a win win.
  8. Going next week (Thursday) to get folded angel wings behind my Angel Tyrael tattoo. I'm looking forward to it as that'll be the piece finished. Though will also be sad as won't be able to get tattooed until at least May next year. But not thinking about that, focusing on next week.
  9. Thank you for the welcome. Pics are on my laptop, is it okay to share in this thread? Or is there somewhere else I should post them?
  10. I've been tattooed by 8 different tattooists in 3 different countries. After many years of not getting tattooed I'm sticking with one tattooist in Belfast. I love his style and he understands what I mean, even when I don't!
  11. Scanned through this thread as mobile internet isn't great and would take me all day to read everything (I get edge which is slowwwwww!) Anyway back on topic, regards getting top of shoulders/arm joint aeea tattooed, a bra with a soft strap works well, I need to wear a bra and the tattooist just slippee the strap off. Like the advice re: back tattoo. Still to venture to my back, but that's for the future. I have got tattooed during that time of month before and no problems. I found in the rare occasion that it happens or leading up to it, that getting tattooed helps. Also any other ladies fall asleep? I fell asleep getting my last one done, had dozed in previous sessions.
  12. Hi, just joined and typing this up on my phone so apologies in advance for any typos. I'm a female addict of tattoos. Heavily tattooed, tops of arms, right ribs, left hip, thighs/tops of legs, tops of feet, inside right ankle, right lower leg and will be going back next week to get one on lower left leg finished. Today week to be exact! After not getting tattooed for years, next week will be my fifth session this year. I haven't done too badly. And they haven't been small tattoos either.
