Richard said the same thing about the koi before Nunez pointed it out.... Then he said over half of everybody that tattoos NOW don't look at the shit they are doing... Without being PC I think both black dudes should go home then the girls.... Some of those tattoos were down right retarded, and I hope that Oliver makes just about everyone cry. GOOD TIMES!
I'll take a top chef tat show over a reality tattoo shop, at least people won't be like "I know how they do it at that shop Miami Ink, sooo...." And I will say I didn't and don't watch Miami Ink, LA Ink, or the like... If turning the channel and helping ratings will help our friend, fuck it... I am always on the look out for stuff to make haterade out of, or at least a good laugh.

My favorite part is when Chris Nunez said, "That tail is too small to propel the koi's head."

I watched 90% of it, but for some reason the DVR didn't record all of it. (maybe it became self-aware)lol I thought it was pretty good. It was alot better than hearing the sob stories of all the other tattoo shows.......it was actually about tattooing. And it wasn't tattoo school. I don't think they put it on the air thinking that actual tattooers would watch it, so of coarse they Hollywooded it up. I will keep watching just for the FAILS.

You know what.... TIME shows you either know how to get it done, and you do, or you don't... Oliver is a fast tattooer, he was taught that way. besides a time limit also shows who does stuff out of the comfy zone well and who doesn't...
like the dude that could draw the Fu dog but couldn't tattoo it... I'll watch it, Oliver is family. I'm proud...
side note: pointing out problems with the tattoos educates everyones future clients.... my two cents

The thing I hate is when I am in a public place with my son and someone asks me "when he is going to get his first tattoo?, ha ha!!!!! I want to be like wow you should try out for that redneck comedy tour you mouth breathing piece of shit, but i digress.

It's the cross you bear.
"Shawn... YOU of all people will appreciate THIS" (insert shitty tattoo photo here).
It happens with strangers too.
"When I get older, I'm going to look like YOU" (I always retort "What, a dorky manchild?")
"I haven't gotten it YET, but (insert long drawn out story of a tattoo I don't care about).."
"My cousin has this amazing tattoo that (insert tattoo that I don't care about)..."
You just smile.
If they SHOW you a tattoo, respond "yeah, that's a tattoo alright".
if they ask your feedback, respond "yeah, that could totally work".
That or do what I did at the bar the other night:
"honestly, I could care less. So. you want a drink?"

Got a picture message of a friends lame script tattoo on her foot yesterday labeled "Fresh Ink!" Why do people feel like since I have quite a few tattoos they all have to show me their little tattoos and expect me to be excited to see them? Lol
