  1. Had a chance to go to Hawaii (Big Island) for a wedding. Green Sand Beach was amazing, worth the hour hike out to the cove.
  2. No, this kid was maybe 22 or so and I mean full face, forehead, cheeks, chin, the whole 9.
  3. This was a walk-in and it always makes me giggle... Kitt Hall @ Deluxe did the honors and came up with 99% of the design.

  7. I have no problem with other peoples tattoos, especially if that's what you do for a living. But seeing young people with stuff on their face who don't tattoo for a living and aren't retired kinda bums me out. Not because they might never have a job, but because getting your face done is a huge deal and they're gonna have to live with that forever, like forever forever. I remember seeing a young kid skating once with a full on full face full of tribal shit and I just couldn't even talk to the kid... hands on the other hand, no pun intended, I've always loved since I was a kid and actually my knuckles were my third tattoo.
  8. Damn, I feel bad for people passing out. I pass out every time I have blood drawn, not from getting tattooed yet, but I'm sure I will at some point. A lot of people who pass out kinda look like they might be having a mild seizure, but in reality it's just the electricity turning back on. I had to go for a brain scan and some testing after the first time it happened to me and that's what the neurologist told me. last time I passed out I bit my tongue, nothing major, just a small bite.
  9. Myles Karr at Three Kings in NYC, He's a great guy and very much has his own style. Myles Karr Tattoo Blog
  10. 1990 in Ohio. I was living with a friend in Kent who had gotten a few pieces so I went with him to a shop called G&G. I had a copy of a Leo Zulueta image that had been a skateboard graphic so I decided to get that... I walked into the shop with the image the exact size I wanted which in hindsight was huge, it's about a foot long or so and told the tattooer what I wanted and where I wanted it placed and he shot me a look like yeah right guy you're not sit for this. So he made the stencil and we put it on and he kept trying to get me to just get the outline, but I wanted it filled in. So after about two hours of just the back of my head and my heels on the table I walked out with a nice big tribal chest piece... Soon to be a nice big black panther cover up, haha. The best part was all the other tattooers coming back looking in on us completely surprised I was really sitting for it.
