  1. In terms of overall good artists, London Tattoo convention is the best show I've been to so far. Venue is big and organized, people are all very nice, and top notch work from all over the world.

Within the states I really enjoy Ink-N-Iron in Long Beach California as well as Hell City in Phoenix Arizona / Columbus Ohio. Both have some really good artists and brings something worth checking out to the table.

Ink-N-Iron has a great venue (on the Queen Mary Ship) along with good vendors, live music all day, and some great custom cars all in one event.

Hell City is just organized very well and always struck me as a consistently good show. The Arizona one is hosted nearby/on the premises of the Biltmore Hotel which is amazing. I definitely didn't enjoy the temperature of Arizona but the convention more than made up for it.

  2. ...others just put ice packs on the skin prior to treatment.

I have always been curious about the validity of this.

A laser impinges into the skin and dispurse the ink into smaller parts which the bodys' leukocytes can now recognize as a foreign particle and try to get rid of naturally.

The farther the ink particles gets away when it gets hit by the laser, the more likely the body will see it as a foreign partcle and try to get rid of it.

The thing is, if you were to use ice or even cold air prior to or during the process of tattoo laser removal, wouldn't you're epidermal layer contract a bit which might affect how "far" ink particles get dispersed when the laser is applied to the skin?

Both the person who does my lasering and myself agree that it wouldn't help with the process of laser tattoo removal and might actually negatively impact the progress of tattoo removal. Wanted to get your guys opinion on the concept.

  3. Hello all,

This site is a great resource and I appreciate all the information and insight I have gotten over the years. I'll be sure to chime in on some topics if I have some relevant information to share. :o
