  1. Looks like you pull that off pretty well mate. Not something I could do but fair play to you. Never seen anyone in person with a covered face tattoo, but yeah I can imagine that would be pretty creepy.
  2. Do you have any pictures? I am curious. Thanks
  3. Second session just finished on my thigh. 6 and a half hours in. Swollen, bloody and inky but here is a pic. Tried to get some details in on the right side pics.

  5. Sure does, and good for you :) My wife also has some skin allergies and would like to be tattooed at some stage. Keep us updated and good luck with the spot test!
  6. Happy birthday to me! (2 years ago :p ) If I look a bit sweaty, it was almost 60 degrees centigrade.
  7. Ok, I have also been to predominantly catholic countries but have had no ill comments. Maybe it's not so much a Catholic, but more of a Cultural thing. Off topic, I hear Croatia is beautiful :)
  8. Yeah, I can imagine, the bit I have not been looking forward to.
  9. Cool! How did you find the back of the legs/back of the knee?
  10. Tomo's work is really striking if you like that style, then cool, but do you ever see yourself getting some real traditional Japanese work done? You have a great opportunity to do so living in Japan, would be so awesome if you could get some work done by a tebori master.

  15. Just checked out your back piece, looks great, I look forward to seeing the pictures later. I got 3 hours on my crane and turtle thigh piece on Wednesday, will hopefully finish all the background. Then back again 2 weeks after to finish that portion of my leg with the colour.
  16. The inner elbow was a bit rough and I also found the skin on the inside of my bicep was a bit nippy. Currently working on a full leg, and am a little concerned about the knee are and lower leg. My body temperature seems to drop whenever I am tattooed and get the shakes pretty bad. Muscle spasms were much more frequent during the 3 hours on my thigh. I always say the same thing to myself every time I fell that first line.. 'Why am I doing this again? No more tattoos for a while, this hurts too much. Then when it's over I can't wait to get back in the chair again.
  17. In general, not a problem, most people are curious and will give you a thumbs up. I have had a few people touch my tattoos without warning which is something you might have to be aware of. Emirati people are cool and friendly, but there are some more traditional people who have never seen a Caucasian person before, let alone one with tattoos. I prefer to cover up in the airport, but out and about in malls ect, its no big deal to have some ink showing as long as it's not offensive.
  18. Thanks for the welcome :) It's being done by Nico at softmachine tattoo in Gosport, In my opinion one of the top Japanese artists in the UK. Booked in for another 3 hours next week.
  19. Awesome! Love those! Here is the start to my outer thigh Tsuru Kame [/img]
  20. Hi everyone! I am currently in the UK where I am from, getting some new ink done, but have been living in the UAE for 2 years. It's certainly an interesting experience having tattoos and living in the middle east  I'm a big fan of traditional Japanese tattooing, I prefer the more simplistic designs than the the modern style. No better tattoos than well done simple Japanese designs in my opinion but I cant appreciate any kind of cool art. Anyway that's me. Here is what I am getting done at the moment, my outer thigh started. 'Tsuru Kame' 3 hours in line work finished and a small part shaded. Will eventually extend to a full leg with another auspicious animal, maybe a Kirin.
